Poll question: Is it conceivable that SS. Clinton might run against President Obama in 2012? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x8249646)
I'm not starting an argument. I just want to know what you think. And, yes I know it's kind of a stupid question.
Poll result (170 votes)
Yes (20 votes, 12%)
No (150 votes, 88%)

If she thinks for one second that she can actually win the nomination and general then in a heartbeat.
-
....only of Oooooobama abdicates the throne first.
-
If Obama popularity is in the tank, she will run. Obama will be throwing his cabinet members under the bus in that case. The messiah can do no wrong. :bird: :censored: :bs:

Anyone else thinkin Hillary is sittin back ROFLFAO at Obama?

She's too tired to do much of that at the moment. And, I suspect that The Exalted One will keep her running to the four corners of the earth until he fires her. I give it a year, tops.

She definitely has her daggers sharpened and poised for impact at the right moment.

That would be funny....She'd have no reason to even pretend to be "loyal" to him then...And the shit Willy would be spoutin be be a blast...

I disagree. I think Der Schlickmeister likes having her in her current job. She's out of the country most of the time, keeping him available for extracurricular activities. If they were both in Washington all the time, it might make it a little more difficult to play Hide the Salami every weekend with random bar whores.

Glenn Beck was commenting at length this morning about the absolutely outrageous treatment of PM Brown and his wife when they came in to worship at the altar of the Barackopolis. Mr. Brown brought a gift of pens crafted from the wood of the HMS Resolute - if nothing else, to match the desk in the Oval Orifice (made from the salvaged wood of the same vessel) which was gifted to the United States by the Queen of England - and what great in kind gift does Obamessiah have for the Browns in return? A giftbasket full of DVDs that aren't even formatted for viewing on British equipment, and two models of Marine One from the lobby gift shop for his boys.
One of the points he made about that whole debacle is that the State Department has entire divisions of people there who's whole job is to think up stately gifts for the President to give on behalf of the people of the United States at occasions like this. Glenn believes it was BarackStar! arrogance that fumbled the ball on this occasion, not listening to counsel he was given from the State Department. I'm starting to wonder if MAYBE it wasn't BarackStar! arrogance, so much as it was Shrillary taking advantage of the Rookie's lack of understanding of the things he doesn't know about how to succeed at managing a government. It's entirely possible that she sat on her hands for this encounter, calculating that she could either use this as a bludgeon in the 2012 election cycle, or use it to demonstrate how much the Rookie needs her diplomatic "savvy", and believing that she could salvage US relations with the UK - the Brits are mad as hornets about Da Fuhrer's display of diplomatic density at the moment - at a later date.
-
Another possibility, however remote:
Since Brown is arguably a pariah in his own country, to have been snubbed by The Rookie on the World's Stage was a deliberate ploy to portray him (Brown) as a victim.
With the right spin doctors, Brown might even make it up to a 40% approval rating in the polls - he's hovering at about 35% at the moment.

Remotely is correct. Conversely, I think he is just an arrogant, know it all dumb ass who is way in over his head.

Does anyone really believe Clinton will last four years as Secretary of State without being thrown under AT LEAST a dozen buses?

I look for Gates to go first. However, anyone that crosses Axelrod or Emanuel is dead meat. I look for the economy to be mired in stagnation for the next 2 years. In that case, she will start her campaign against the Magic Negro. That will be fun to watch.

There was some guy on with Glenn Beck yesterday that said that the depression will last 5 years in the US. He has the data to back him up. The book that this guy wrote is called, "The Next Great Depression," or something like that.

I believe that's if Da Fuhrer doesn't follow in Comrade Roosevelt's footsteps and exacerbate the situation with problematic domestic and economic policies.
Anybody wanna bet me that the Rookie'll leave well enough alone and let the Depression run it's course?
Didn't think so...
