Karl Rove and Harriet Meyers to be deposed under oath --in private--
The House Judiciary Committee announced late Wednesday afternoon that they had secured the agreement of former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove and former White House Counsel Harriet Miers to testify in transcribed depositions under threat of perjury.
The Committee did not immediately announce what terms, if any, had been reached with Rove, but said the agreement had been made with representatives of the former Bush Administration. They did say that they would get access to Administration documents, and that Rove and Miers had agreed to testify publicly if called
...but said the agreement had been made with representatives of the former Bush Administration. What the **** does that mean?

6. Actually, NO to the oath. Only "with a transcript." But no oath.
The bullshit with these people never stops. Neither of them will be under oath.
They've only agreed to have a transcript this time. But no OATH.

8. By definition a "deposition" is under oath.
Deposition defined:
Often conducted in an attorney's office, a deposition requires that all questions be answered under oath and be recorded by a court reporter, who creates a deposition transcript. Increasingly, depositions are being videotaped.
Are they playing with semantics by saying he's deposed? I don't get it.(wouldn't be the first time)

9. I understand all that
I'm telling you what was reported on the "news" tonight: Rove and Meiers will not be deposed under oath. But they agreed to allow transcripts to be made.
Now, I agree with your cut-and-paste legal definition. But these guys don't do cut-and-paste. They make the shit up as they go along. Just because you know and I know that they are full of shit, doesn't mean they won't try to use their full-of-shitness as some sort of legal defense.

I would say from the mouths of babies, but Pedro isn't that bright. I wonder from where he C&P'd his opinion?

You're right, sir; Playboy Pedro isn't that bright.
Perhaps his wife said it to him, in some sort of context.

Karl Rove: "My desire to tell the truth is equal to your desire to charge me with trumped-up perjury claims, so no oath will be taken and, the truth shall prevail."

These idiots still consider rawstory to be a valid source ?
I guess those 24 business hours aren't over yet.
