Trying to get resettled after vacation is a pain. The puppy grew about 4 inches in each direction the five days we were gone. :-)
She looks like a young dog now and not a little furball.
I have to go to the dentists office for a cleaning and check up in a bit here. I have fealt exhausted the last two days. My stupid knee is sore but it is feeling better each day and the only time I am getting "Holy Shit That Hurts" twinges are climbing stairs. Other than that it's a sort of dull ache.
I picked up our mail at the post office yesterday and they handed me a dang mail bin! :lmao: A lot of packages and magazines.
We replaced our "Ask not for whom the dog barks, it barks for thee!" doormat with a brand new one so that was a nice thing. The waiting bills not so much. :)

What you need is a nice family outing to your local Chuck E Cheese. I gather that is a lively evening out in Wisconsin. :rotf:

I'm pretty caught up at work finally. And today I'm finally going to be able to tackle the statement mess that the receptionist left me. :(

Another 12-hour day today.
And imagine the stack of mail one would get if they've been gone a MONTH. That was my mail which I went through last night. Got a combination hooray/aw shit letter from my home insurance company. Seems my bank took the premium out of my escrow account to pay my new insurance company, even though I had already paid them in December. They recognized the error and sent a check to ME. Now while I have more than enough in the escrow account to cover next property tax bill, I really don't want to spend this money.
Oh well.
Other than that, it's pretty apparent by their behavior that the critters missed me while I was gone.

Going to take my middle child to the doctor in a few minutes. She had what she thought was a migraine yesterday, then had a slight fever. Woke up today and said her throat hurt to the point that it was hard to even swallow her spit. She also has a fever of 103.2 now.

Poor thing. My throat was that way just before I had my tonsils removed, I had never realised how often you swallow during the day, until I couldn't do it at all. :(

Well my day was going pretty good. We're planning the birthday party for our owner that's coming up in a couple of weeks. He'll be 75. Well, a co-workers fiancee is one of those guys that does the barbecue cookoffs and such. Anywho, so he brought in some barbecue to sample today (which was our lunch, w00t! free lunch!) and it was sooooo good. He's going to do the catering for the birthday party. He also brought in some sausage, and it's this jalapeno sausage from HEB. :drool:
Anywho, then I was walking into the dealership when I opened the door on my big toe on the right foot. I sliced it open pretty good. It hurt like a bitch. Now it's all bandaged up, and I told my boss and said "I'm such a idiot" and she laughed too. Then she wagged her finger at me and laughingly said "that's what you get for wearing those flip flops."

No that was a pizza place. Those were delicious. This is Pam's boyfriend that's going to do all the barbecue. It was delicious! They're going to do sausage, chopped brisket and pork chops. :drool:
It was very yummy in my tummy.

Well it's strep. She has rather nasty blisters on her throat too that look all black. The doctor said they have infection and blood in them. I have never seen anything like it. When the nurse came in to do the strep test she said "Jesus Christ" that looks really bad.

Thanks Dee. I'm sitting in a Walgeeens waiting for her medications. Everyone must be sick because there are a ton of people are waiting for their medication.

I finally get out of Walgreens and my car wouldn't start. My daughter was sitting in the car because she didn't feel well, she was listening to the radio and had the air on. The car was on but it wasn't "started". Should my battery have died in about 30-40 minutes? This car is only about 4 months old.
When I first tried to start it it didn't even act like there was a battery in it. I sat there for a few minutes and then tried it again, it tried to start but wouldn't. I called my Mom and my Step-Dad left to come get us. I tried it one more time and it finally started but it sounded weak. I was afraid that it would die as I was driving it home but it didn't. When I got home I turned it off and then restarted it. It started like it normally does. Now I'm afraid to drive it anywhere because I may get stuck and no one to come pick me up.

The ac compressor and fan are a big drain on the battery as are lights. If you drove it for 20-30 minutes, you should be okay.

65° tomorrow, and above 70° through the weekend. Spring is here!
We'll probably get froze in one more time before the weather turns.
