The outrage these people feel when deprived their perceived freebie is astonishing. They'd happily bring about feudalism or anarchy in their mad desire to have free stuff given to them.

Pitchforks and torches!!!!
My insurance tries to drive me to mail order for prescriptions. I fooled around too long, my bad, and needed a refill on BP medicine fast, so I went to the Medco website and found that the local CVS was a “participating local pharmacyâ€. Called Medco, “If I use CVS will I get the same co-pay and service I get through Mail Order?†“Yes. $25 co-pay if it’s for a 90 day supply.â€
I took the Rx to CVS was assured that my service would be the same; same co-pay, same prescription drugs, everything.
I pick up the Rx and it's for a 30 day supply, $10 co-pay. I go back and ask for clarification. Pharmacist gets on the phone to Medco.
Her: Sorry, sir they only allow a 30 day re-fill through retail.
Me: You mean they re-wrote my Dr.'s prescription?
Her: Uh, yes sir.
Me: Sons of bitches. It's time for the villagers to take up pitchforks and torches and burn down that castle.
Her: Yeah, they do that and there's nothing we can do.
Me: Doncha' just love being between people like me and big Pharma? (Mona Lisa smile)
Her: Not so much, but I've seen worse. (Grin)
Me: Okay, can you send the balance of the RX to Medco by Mail?
Her: I'd have to take the pills back and refund your co-pay. Somebody needs to sue 'em.
Me: Nope. Medicare for All, H.R. 676. Nationalize the whole damn thing. You'd still be here, my Dr. would still be here but Pharma and the insurance companies could suck lemons. (Yes, I really did say lemons . . . )
So now I've got to go to the Doc and get him to write ANOTHER RX to mail to the bastards at a $25 co-pay. Meanwhile I'll use up the two 30 day re-fills at a $5 extra cost over a 90 day from Medco.
Pitchforks and torches, I tell ya' it's comin'. Soon.

flamin lib, you are a flaming idiot.
This bouncy shows just how petty and immature these people really are.
They admit fooling around, and then go into a blood-flecked spittle laced hissy fit over five dollars that their fooling around cost them. $5. Five measly dollars.
You think "nationalizing" the healthcare system will make it better ? I've a bridge to sell you.
Lets see how you go sifting through the ashes of that "castle" with your "pitchfork" under the light of a "torch" searching in vain for your medication.

1. Only when those who created and expolit their corrupt system start winding up dead
in the streets will things change.
Until that type of consequence occurs, they have no reason or incentive to change their ways.
Be careful of what you wish for DUmmie. At the very least put your money where your mouth is and go buy a short length of rope.

2. I've got a concept on the table...
The torchfork. It's still in the drawing board stage, but what I'm picturing is like an electric lighter. You have the pitchfork, but with a butane tank. The flames come out of the tines of the pitchfork. I haven't figured out how to get the ignition working just yet, but I think that, even with the economy in downturn, it could be a lucrative investment!
Taking wagers on the torchfork Vs Lapua 338 contest now....

3. Same thing happens to me and my medicine.
But I have the so-poor-you-can't-afford-anything health insurance the state provides. I suppose I'm lucky to have anything at all.
You clearly know how badly the state runs this sort of thing and you still endorse it. This is textbook insanity.

10. Insurance companies practice medicine without a license
We go round and round with one company every 90 days, when one patient's medicine runs out. The insurance company says it won't pay for Medicine X, and wants to substitute Medicine Y. I've yet to figure out the reason, since both X and Y are "name brand" medicines and not generic. EVERY TIME our MD has to CALL and explain that the patient had tried Medicine Y and had a horrible allergic reaction to it! But the insurance company apparently thinks it can practice medicine much better than an MD can.
I'll bring the lighter fluid for the torches, btw.
When your friendly nationalized healthcare system gives you a medication that you have an serious allergic reaction too, I hope that lighter fluid gives you comfort in your final moments.

It will be so much better when the efficency of large government gets involved.
I predict copays go up 100%. Wait times go up 300%. Within two years almost all medications will be rationed with many not getting what they would have had under private plans. DUmbasses will say it would have been worse without the government involved.
-
Huh...I've got all my prescriptions on mail order--90 days at a whack, and most of them are LESS than $25. The only one, IIRC, which is more, is Lipitor, and that's because it's non-generic and still less than $50 for 90 days.
So were I to get a short-term/one-time prescription, I can still go to my local pharmacy and pay whatever the copay is for that drug.
I'm still not feeling the outrage, DUmmies.

National healthcare doctor to Mr/Mrs DUmmie, "Your blood pressure is very high. You're going to need to take medication for it. Here's half an aspirin. Lick it twice a day and make it last 3 months."

I have medco for my meds and if I order through mail order I get 90 day supply and it doesn't cost me anything. If I get it through retail I can only get a month at a time and my co-pay depends on the medication.

Come to Oregon ****stick. They ration healthcare to you parasites in this state.
They won't pay to heal you but they will give you a free kill yourself kit and I would be happy to shove it squarely up your fat taxpayer resource sucking ass.

I dunno . . . I kinda like LC's suggestion of the "torchfork v. .338 Lapua Magnum."
Or even, "torchfork v. .30-30 Winchester."
My guess is that the "torchfork" would get stuck up the DUmmy's fourth point of contact as said DUmmy died . . .
-
your medicine will be so much cheaper when we shut down those pharma companies. who needs meds anyway?
-
hey, Ayashakakka
Obama wants to deny you medX in favor of MedY too... by government dictat.
it's called rationing
-
Notice that none of them mention that good ol' Walmart is selling 90 day prescriptions for generics for ten bucks. And one month supplies for four bucks.
That's cheaper than a lot of insurance copays.
Walmart is evil in the DUmmies eyes, and they'd never admit that there is any benefit from shopping there. :hammer:

The last time a Democrat meddled with the drug manufacturers, we wound up with a nationwide vaccine shortage.

Flamin lib says:

And just why is it Medco's fault because this dummie "fooled around too long"? Next, this dummie will complain because Medco doesn't come to his or her house (or under the bridge where he or she lives) and fix the glass of water (or vodka) for him or her to take the medicine with.

Ahhhh...but you see there in lies the problem, you take responsibility for yourself and don't wait until you run out before you order more...libs simply cant function on that level...... :whatever:

The insurance companies do have some room to improve their services, both to doctors and patients. My doctor told me once about insurance companies changing codes and then refusing to pay the doctor for not entering the new codes, not that they ever told the doctor what the new codes were. She said they do it regularly enough that it is essentially to force the doctor to bill the patient in full. Then the patient would be mad at the doctor not knowing that it was the insurance companies fault.
Medical Insurance Companies could set their codes to make it easier and less costly for doctors to bill, which would result in savings. Unfortunately, it would take a government mandate to make them do it, and quite frankly the government is of in la-la land at the moment.

I just thought of something about that "torchfork."
You have the pitchfork, but with a butane tank. The flames come out of the tines of the pitchfork. I haven't figured out how to get the ignition working just yet
Might I suggest carrying that tank within range of, say, a .308 Winchester? That would ignite it, for sure.

Damn, I thought about this a couple of hours ago, but you beat me to saying it.

You do. I hope that you thank him for his stance--every day, by being proud of the work that you do.
I'm going to PM you with something, too.
