Title: Gas Prices
Post by: Bluesuiter-Retired on February 28, 2009, 10:28:27 PM
For well over a year, the dems and libs were constantly harping on President Bush because the price for gas kept going up and up.  They went on and on about how he was in bed with "big oil".

Since obama took office, the price of gas is on the rise, but the outrage by those same dems and libs is missing.

They have been dropping a bit, maybe 15-20 cents per gallon in about three weeks or so.

Here in southeast Virginia, the prices have dropped from roughly $1.85 per gallon at the beginning of the month to around $1.65 per gallon today.

Same here, but I look for Obama & crowd to stabalize them soon.......at around $5 a gallon.

Dems in Illinois want to raise the gas tax, but the new gov is against it so far.

"Legislative Democrats have suggested increasing the current 19-cents-per-gallon motor fuel tax to help fund construction of roads, bridges and other structures — by 8 cents in a House bill and 16 cents or more under some proposals in the Senate.

"I've never been a big fan of taxes on gasoline," Quinn said. "All options are on the table but that's a particular levy that I think is difficult." Link (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29394761/)

Gas prices are heading down again in my area (until Deval one-term-governor Patrick raises the gas tax in my state $.19).

In Helena MT our lowest price was at $ 1.42, but that was back before winter.

We've seen a pretty steady increase since.  We're now up to $ 1.87.  We've seen price jumps as much as 10 cents per gallon at one time.

Why isn't barack "the messiah" obama doing something to keep the price down?
