Title: Are Conservatives Missing A Strategic Opportunity?
Post by: SSG Snuggle Bunny on February 27, 2009, 04:06:49 PM
Amid the financial crisis the subject of illegal immigration seems to have fallen off the political radar. I know why the dems are dropping talk of amnesty for the moment: no one wants to discuss befriending They-Who-Do-The-Jobs-Americans-Won't-Do when US employment is climbing.

But with that being the case why isn't the GOP cashing-in on a sure-win scenario that will earn them press-time and popularity points on an issue sure to tweak Obama and the dems?

You talking "Conservatives" or "Republicans"?

The latter have yet to rediscover their testicles.

When it comes to illegal aliens....oops....excuse me.....undocumented workers, when did any of them have any balls.

They RePUBEics will have to have their testicles descend sometime soon. If they get back on the Shamnesty program, the American people will be sure to reject them as they have had a taste of full blown moonbattery over the last month and a half.

An excellent point as this tends to be electorally problematic until folks can see what it is in their own lives.
Here in the great lib state of NY when former Gov.Spitzer tried to ramrod illegals getting drivers licences down everyones throats it suddenly became a "real life" issue and the state rose against it.

Let the dems defend that in the light of unemployment and the public monies spent for illegals health care and schooling all the while telling everyone that taxes and fees must increase on us to pay for it.
