2007: The House passes a bill that would expand the 435-member House by two seats, giving one to historically Democratic D.C. and another to the traditionally Republican state of Utah, which is next in line to get an extra seat based on the 2000 census. The bill dies in the Senate.
2009: Similar legislation wins enough votes in the Senate to survive a filibuster, setting up a final vote that requires only a simple majority. Senate approval would send the bill to the House, which could take it up in early March.
Don't forget these....................
1801: Congress passes the Organic Act of 1801, which takes away the vote from those living in D.C
1973: The Home Rule Act allows for the direct election of the mayor and other city officials. Congress retains right to review and overturn all D.C. laws.
1978: Congress passes a constitutional amendment that would give D.C. residents full voting representation in the House and Senate.
1985: The amendment fails to be ratified by the necessary three-fourths of state legislatures.

The constitution is no longer the law of the land - liberals know better then founding fathers and will not be stopped in their quest by a peice of paper.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." --Thomas Jefferson
As ignorant as we want to believe the liberals are of this statement, it would serve us well to remember they too can read, and are frightened of these words, but more so of our actions. --Sparky

I guess it's a good thing I have my own copy of that document. Now that they've destroyed the Constitution, I'd hate to be reliant upon Duh Fuhrer for what the Constitution actually said.
