Vibes needed for my son.

As some of you know, my son is a high school football and lacrosse player. During the recent football season, he injured his knee and it turned out to be a torn medial miniscus. He had it scoped in November, and seemed to heal fine, enough so that he was able to start playing for the lacrosse team. Last night, while simply running out on the field, his knee popped, and he was in severe pain. By the time he got home he could barely walk, and it was pretty swollen.

I'm taking him for an MRI this afternoon, and I'd like to ask you all for some vibes that this turns out okay. He's a really good kid, with a shot at playing college football and he's taking this pretty hard. Thanks in advance.

26. High-school football is the source of about 90% of the knee injuries suffered by
young American men. But don't worry too much, OK? I have several rogue chunks of medial-mesnicus cartilage floating around one of my knees (which, the same, features a Teflon kneecap), and have successfully dodged the recommended surgery to remove those little bastards for over ten years.

Listen: When I was young, I played football until my brains fell out. Played semi-pro for $75 per game, even, for two years. For years thereafter, I couldn't watch it on TV because it made me ache, wanting to play again.

Your son's leg is more important than any game.

Yeah, I noticed the grey warriorette sent some.

Talk about being silly, when one's in the seventh decade of life.

I feel sorry for the poor kid. An injury like that ends careers before you can attain them.  :(

He mistakes that giant sucking sound (from the vacuum between his ears) for an expulsion of grey matter.

I feel sorry for a kid who's going to the hospital, and his father asks a bunch of athieists for "vibes".

It was "vibes" that killed Andy.
