...

I was going to write a long summary of Atlas Shrugged and talk about how the contrasts from the theme of that tome and reality today.

But instead.... I will just conclude with Rand was an asshat.

That is all.

Silly primitive. We are living in the prelude too or early chapters of Atlas Shrugged.

You FAIL reading comprehension.

1. She was an asshat AND a lousy author.

That's why nearly everyone will immediately recognize the name and work, and there's how many millions of her works in circulation today ?

14. oh, I disagree!

(not about her being an asshat) but IMO she was a great author. "The Fountainhead" was ****ing awesome! So awesome, I read it twice.

I wonder how much of it sank in.

13. Isn't Angelina Jolie going to star as Dagny(?) the lead female role?

Ironic that this film is to be released soon.

This is a travesty indeed.

Jolie's hawtness can be nothing on that of Dagny Taggart.

H5 for that.  It was a short, but very bloody (for the Pinkos, anyway) campaign, was it not?

"Atlas Shrugged" is pretty much the must-read book of Conservative political literacy...hard to think of anything so essential on the Democrat side - except possibly "Capital," which they wouldn't own up to.  A lot of the DUmmies seem to have based their world view on either that or "My Struggle" by some other damn' nut.

The original post...how intellectually lazy can you get?  Just calling someone an asshat and moving on.  What a compelling arguement, I am now a hardcore DUer.

Human Action by Mises and The Law by Bastiat are also great

Thanks, yep the Finnish made them wish they hadn't.  MY Grandpa left Finland with his parents at the end of the war, became a US citizen got drafted and went to Korea.  So I guess he got to kill even more commies.  God rest his soul.
