Police: Army deserter — wearing thong — arrested in Boulder
BOULDER, Colo. — A 21-year-old man wanted by the U.S. Army for desertion was arrested in Boulder over the weekend.
In a strange twist, he was found wearing a woman’s thong and had three pairs of women’s underpants stuffed in his shirt pocket.
Boulder police said they received an anonymous tip Saturday that Christopher Mauger, who has a nationwide felony warrant for desertion, could be found in an apartment unit at 770 29th St. in Boulder.

k listen up all u dum dums. the guy in the paper is my boyfriend and I love him so easy on the jokes. I dunno who's panties he has, but I think I still have all mine...he could have mine though. I need u all 2 b aware that the military is fine except that they try and own everyone. I don't care if he signed a contract...i dunno y the military is so concerned w/ one man when they have tons that r willing to fight...the whole reason y the economy is at a downfall is mostly...not all...mostly due to all the clothes, food, weapons, bags, transportation and shelter provided for the soldiers plus the pay for each person to fight. I also dont understand y if someone signed up voluntarily that they cant leave voluntarily and I hope thousands of ppl see this bcuz then theyll know that the military protects us but they also hurt a lot of ppl and more ppl have died from combat in the wars than on the streets or from hunger...the cutbacks on military equipment could be a solution to the economic crisis if ppl r smart enough to figure that out...i'm not saying eliminating them completely but just cutback and definately just keep the men that wanna be there and not worry bout nobody else cuz if they dont wanna b there then they aint gonna b any good 2 the military anyway.

I'm sorry for your troubles, and I don't want to be contrary, but I feel compelled to suggest that the economy being in the crapper is a wee more complex than its being "mostly due to all the clothes, food, weapons, bags, transportation and shelter provided for the soldiers plus the pay for each person to fight." Granted, that's a big tab! But it is not the reason for all these foreclosures and large corporations imploding. I wish we could blame a single wrong-headed war for that, but life is more complicated.

everything I said can be backed up by statistics and yes I am sure he was aware of some of that but the military won't put everything in the contract and i've had issues at one job because they didn't put something in the paperwork I signed so how do u know the military told him everything WesternSky...if u look at how much is spent on war then ull know what I mean and everyone will soon know and i'm sorry it took a 22 yr old to figure that out...but the military has no right to keep someone there if they don't want 2 b there cuz slavery was outlawed in the U.S. by the Emancipation Proclamation during Lincoln's presidency according to history books and this is very similar whether ppl wanna believe it or not...bcuz if u hold someone w/o their consent then it soon becomes slavery and like I said maybe because he's only 21 he was scared of losing his life in the military and decided it was best he left and it was because I guarentee he has a better chance of survival if he isn't in the military and I only say that cuz so many ppl have been blown up and killed during wars...especially the poor Jews in WWII because of Hitler.

I may be one of the few smartest ppl out there that finds a core problem that has been around for a long time...laugh all you want, but the military needs to look at what they do wrong and a contract doesnt mean anything because it's nothing but a piece of paper with a signature that can be burned, ripped and everything else. the only thing or creature that can take anyone away or do anything to them is God...the military is not God and if they couldn't keep track of all of their men then who's fault is that? Chris just proved that maybe the military needs to understand that they can't hold anyone or keep them there if they don't wanna be there...wake up America and look at the problems at hand and that is why I'm taking a stand right now and I hope the military releases Chris for good since he doesn't want to be there and let him go about his life in peace w/o all this bs drama and all the problems the military wants to cause over one single soldier. I hope they realize how petty and rediculous they are being and they are making themselves look like dum dums and sorry but the truth hurts...I don't know everything, but maybe I make a good point.

Ice - quit living in that strange fantasy land. The one between DENIAL and CONFUSION
So let's recap:
1. They aren't your panties, and this seems to be okay with you.
2. The military "owns" people... riiiiight, because they get them at a discount at Target, or some other fine retail outlet.
3. The military is only "concerned with one man", and he happens to be your boyfriend.
4. The war is the reason we are in a 'recession', because nothing else could have caused this debt.
5. 22 year olds seem to think it's smart to type in internet slang constantly, because using the whole word just takes too long I suppose.
6. When someone CHOOSES to go into the military they magically become SLAVES because they didn't read the contract they signed or was living under a rock by not knowing there was a war going on when they signed up.
7. The Jews and Hitler are just as afraid of dying in this war as they were in WWII.
8. The rants of a 22 year old girlfriend will ALWAYS be backed by 'facts' that the rest of the world may never get a chance to see.
9. History can be molded and manipulated to fit statistics when you keep them vague and broad without any actual source. (okay, we should have all learned this one in public schools)
10. Everyone else is wrong here because we don't agree.

Or maybe it's ignorant ppl in the world that don't see that the military is the cause of most problems...or did u not pay attention to how many ppl died n the wars and how much money was spent...no u won't get half that info cuz the government won't release some of it...and yes I use slang because it's shorter...and I may be helping more ppl than you guys think because at least everyone is looking at the military in a different light and you guys wouldn't counter me if I didn't make some valid point. Yep... backed up by them statistics. The same statistics that show that only about $200 billion a year is spent on equiping the military. Hell, that stimulus bill coulda taken care of that for the next 5 years, and it actually would have been productive then.

I could walk down the streets of the people's republic of Boulder, line up a dozen "men" against a wall at random, and at least 9 of them would be wearing women's panties, and of those nine, at least two would be deserters from somebody's army.
