Title: Ass-draggin Monday
Post by: NHSparky on February 23, 2009, 06:54:11 AM
4 degrees in the frozen tundra, wind chill of -10.

Last Monday here.  Will finish up on Friday, check out with dosimetry, security, pack up, and fly home on Saturday.  House sitter says house is in good shape, but that's before the foot-plus of snow that dropped on NH last night.

All I can hope for is that I have a house with a driveway I can navigate.

That is all.

More frackin cold weather today  :banghead:.  I'm so ready for spring.  Hell, I'm even looking forward to the time change so I can have some daylight in the evenings when everyone is home.

I really need to go to the library and take some books back, but we'll see if that actually happens.

Thinking about bratwurst and saurkraut for dinner tonight...

One of the guys is bringing that in for lunch for the entire shop today.  The brats were made over the weekend.

Mmmmmmm...fresh meat.

Kind of a ass draggin morning here too. Just could NOT get going on all cylinders today.

Everybody is back at work or back at school as the case may be.  Pepper Pup is asleep on the sofa dreaming of slow rabbits and fun things to chew on. She goes into a kennel this Wednesday when we leave for SanDiego for vacation.

Found a really good one to put her up in.  They take the dogs for walks on a nature trail every day and one of the staff gives her personal cuddling time every day. I feel really ambivalent about leaving her some place for five days at her age, but whatcha gonna do?

We finalized our schedule last night. Legoland, the wild animal park and then the museum ships in the harbor and the natural history and the air and space museums in Blaboa park.  They have the Frigate that they used to film "Master And Commander" tied up in the harbor and I am geeking big time to go tour her. I have read the Horatio Hornblower and the Jack Aubrey novels to death in the last 10 years. Getting to deck tromp a 6th rate Frigate is nirvana. :-)

It's sunny but cold...only supposed to get to the mid 30's today.

Have done 2 reports and 1 to go. Then going to do stuff around the house. I am determined to finally get each room "done" this year. Have never completely finished even one room since we moved in 5 years ago....I guess I'm finally ready to stay... :uhsure:

Went to Hobby Lobby on Saturday and had a delightful time....they had 3 big aisles chock full of stuff that was 80% off. My friend and I had a field day in there finding stuff! M liked everything I found ( he doesn't always...there was not even one "Why did you buy that?") My friend's stuff is still in the backend of my car....  :o...when we met the guys for dinner....her hub was in a poopy mood....not the time to switch two cart loads of stuff to their car.   :uhsure:

28 degrees this fine Colorado morning, headed for a high of about 60 locally.

A new day under Dear Leader is like a new day on the farm.  Every paycheck's a fortune.  Every formation is a parade.  Every meal a banquet.  I love Dear Leader!

One final down and two to go tomorrow.  I'll be reviewing my accounting stuff this evening.  Blah.  I'm ready for my break though.

Looks to be kinda busy at work today.  Blah.

Hey how was the test?

Hey how was the test?

Today's was okay.  There was only one tricky question.  It was in the Excel part and it showed a spreadsheet and a formula and you were supposed to tell why it was wrong and what you would do to fix it.  The actual part where you worked in Excel and Access wasn't too hard, it's the damn multiple choice/short answer questions that get me.  I hope I get an A on it.  *crosses fingers*

Tomorrow is Macro and Accounting.  :(

Those short answers and shit can sometimes be tricky when it comes to math, so I get that!  I'm glad the test went well though.  You so smart   :-)

Yeah, but I think I'm gonna end up with 1 A and 2 Bs this term.   :bawl:

Good news, the Accounting final is all multiple choice and I don't have to write out a financial statement.  And the macro is all multiple choice too.

Big fan of the multiple choice.  Are your finals comprehensive?

Yes.  If I hadn't screwed up so completely on the last econ exam I wouldn't even have to take the final!   :banghead:

Very cool and I feel slightly less dorky playing it than I do Lego Star Wars.   :-)

I had to run and errand this morning and as I was pulling out of the neighborhood a woman on a bike totally wrecked right in front of me.  She went right over the handle bars.  I stopped and asked her if she needed help.  She was more embarrassed than hurt.  She said she used her husband's bike today instead of her own.  He had just bought it this past weekend and she just trashed it.  I hope he doesn't get pissed.
