Sunny today to offset the 7 inches of snow we gots yesterday. :badmood:
Not a whole heck of a lot on the board for today. Cleaning and rest and the usual.
We had a whitetail under our deck at some point last night which is kinda cool.
I might haul the mancub into Madison to poke around at the train show for a little but I dunno.

My oldest has a stomach bug. A chocolate Dunkin' Munchkin looks much better BEFORE it's been digested. :puke:

Blah cold day here...too cold to run up to the ball field, which mightily ticked off my youngest. Eh, he'll get over it. Just some general putzing and cleaning, and the usual laundry on the agenda for today.
My life is so exciting.

Work today. Then a couple days off.
It's been nice outside, today it's cloudy.
I'm bored.
-
a little chilly outside, but the sun is out. I work 5-11 tonight, so it was nice getting to sleep in, then went to pick up lunch.
Right now, messing around on Facebook. The "Egg Breaker" game is EXTREMELY addicting. :p

Working today. Had to come in for a few hours on my day off yesterday so I get to spend 10 minutes every morning filling out FFD (Fitness for Duty) forms because I worked more than 72 hours in a given week and will have to fill out these forms EVERY DAY until I get a day off.
Isn't the NRC wonderful?
Just checked the weather forecast for home. Upwards of two FEET of snow forecast for parts of ME/NH. Looks like my area will be getting 12-16 inches. Oh freaking whoopee. Here on the frozen tundra we had a low of 5 with a wind chill of -15. I'm going between the shop and turbine building in basically a t-shirt because I've been in the drywell (radiation/contaminated area) all morning and have to dress accordingly.
At least the steaks here rock. One more night out before I head home next weekend.

I'm up at the real estate office. My plan is to get some accounting homework done and start reviewing for my final that's in the morning.
This evening I need to see my dad to drop off a check to him and the hubcap I picked up for him (what a maroon, he was going to pay retail for it! I get parts at cost). Then more Excel/Access review and probably some Lego Star Wars.

2.5 hours left until quitting time. I'm trying to eat Jello with a fork.

Yes. I came in on Friday and had hot dogs and chili all laid out for me on my desk.

Ewwww. There's not a single attractive woman on this floor. They're all downstairs in sales.

I love James Patterson for some fun reading. I really like the Women's Murder Club series and I saw that the 8th one is out. I just bought two new books via Amazon today: Satan's Circus: Murder, Vice, Police Corruption, and New York's Trial of the Century (http://www.amazon.com/Satans-Circus-Murder-Corruption-Century/dp/1400054729/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235352841&sr=1-10) and Bestial: The Savage Trail of a True American Monster (http://www.amazon.com/Bestial-Savage-Trail-American-Monster/dp/0743483359/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235352841&sr=1-11). My break from school starts Tuesday at noon and lasts until March 10th. :hyper:

I've only read one other novel by him--an Alex Cross mystery. I was rather unimpressed. So I wasn't holding my breath with Sunday at Tiffany's. But I absolutely loved it. I'm such a sap. I laughed, I cried, I sighed...and I finished it in a day. I love books like that. I may have to take a look at Patterson's stuff again and see what I'm missing.

I recommend the Women's series. They all start with numbers "1st to Die" "2nd Chance" "3rd Degree" "4th of July" "5th Horseman" "6th Target" "7th Heaven" and "8th Confession" I really enjoy these. You don't have to read them in order, but it's probably better if you do. There is some minor plot lines that flow through them.
I like them a lot more than the Cross ones, but his non-Cross and Women's books (like "The Honeymoon" and "The Lifeguard") are good too.
Oh and I don't find the Women's series to be too political (though sometimes it slips in) but it's definitely not like what Patricia Cornwell has done with her Scarpetta series.
