Welcome and greetings and good wishes, sir!
Sit back, relax, get mellow, and enjoy!
There's something for everybody here.
You by any chance wouldn't happen to be of Czech derivation, would you?

After I broke my leg jumping into NTC, after the operations and the pins and such, the Regiment said they were giving me a transfer to a unit that wasn't so high speed, where I could relax and take it easy until I was back to 100% and could come back to the Regiment. They sent me to Fort Bragg, 2/325th PIR.

Ouch! What is NTC?
Sorry you got stationed near Fayetteville. That place is a dump (more than Hopkinsville/Ft. Campbell).

I was much younger then. Fayettenam is what we called it back then. We still had a few senior NCOs who were in Vietnam. Totally different Army.
