50. Things I would let my 8 year old do before handling ANY gun
1. Drive a car
2. Drink a beer
3. watch porn
4. use curse words
5. have a fist fight
6. play tackle football
7. travel alone to meet relatives
8. view an autopsy
9. watch an "R" rated movie
10. Take a drag on a cigarette.
...as a matter of fact, my 8 year old would NEVER hold a gun! When he reaches, 16, 17, 18, then we can talk. ****ing nuts.

So the fact that my 8 yr old will likely be getting his first .22 for Christmas would make this guys head explode? Cool!
(oh, and he already plays tackle football, and is great at it!)

I guess telling this asshat my 12 year old grandaughter is after her first deer this year would send it to the rubber room for a "vacation"! :-) :-)

The most I've done is shoot my dads shotgun and rifle at a turkey shoot, but now I'm thinking I need to get my permits real soon.

If you have to have permits then you're probly livin' in the wrong state!

8. Hope you enjoy the Democratic majority
while it lasts. More gun control is exactly what the Republicans need to get back in power.

My carry concealed permit :rotf:

For my tenth birthday I got a .22, that was 1970.

Well I guess I must be a bad mother. How can this idiot even compare porn to shooting (we shoot targets a lot more than Bambi or the extra rooster). My boys used to compare whose turkey had the biggest portion of its head blown off. I have nothing against porn but an 8 year old boy is just not equipped to deal with that yet. What the hell is wrong with these people!

Isn't it obvious? They are left wing democrats.

I think all my kids had shot a gun by 8 years...except maybe the youngest. I'd have to ask her. However, she throws a mean tomahawk at the black powder rendezvous...probably something that's not DUmmie-approved either. :-)
I can guarantee that they had done these things, too...
1. Drive a car {with help}
2. Drink a {taste of} beer
4. use curse words
5. have a fist fight {maybe not by 8, but not much later}
6. play tackle football
9. watch an "R" rated movie

Ha.
My 4 1/2 year old has (with daddy's help and supervision) discharged my .45 at the firing range (we've got his "bad guy" target posted on his wall as a memento of how good he did). At 4 1/2, he's learning the "4 Rules" and treats daddy's firearms accordingly. When he is asked (doesn't matter who's asking) what guns are for, he will alternately answer, "To shoot bad guys", or "To shoot yummy deers".
My 4 1/2 year old is more emotionally mature than a DUmmy (like that's a surprise).
:cheersmate:

I should post pictures of my then six year old at the firing range. :cheersmate:

My daughter got a single shot bolt action kids model rifle at age 8.
My son is going to be learning to use it this summer at age 7.
At least my kids will be able to kill and canabalize your whole moonbat family when the apocalypse comes.
Fatten 'em up on tofu for us willya? kthnx.

I'm gonna have ya all beat, if I get my way--The Heiress will start shooting soon. She's 16--months.

First time I fired a gun I was 7 years old. Fired a 12 gauge shotgun at a pine cone my dad had set up on a tree stump. Knocked me on my ass.
From day 1 he taught me responsible use of weapons. I was hunting on my own by the time I was 14. I've never had any fire arm accident, I treat them with all the respect they deserve, and I'll make sure that my kids are properly trained in their use as well.
It's people like this DUmmie that allow accidents to happen. Hiding them from their kids is only going to end up glorifying the weapon to them. Teach them at an early age to respect the weapon, and everything will be fine.

I have always taught my kids and grandkids, there is no such thing as an unloaded weapon! They have learned that lesson well.
After all an empty weapon is no more effective than a baseball bat. Never bring a bat to a gunfight!
I have three grandkids going hunting for turkey, ducks, geese, deer, and elk this year. The oldest is 13!

My 8 yr old is going to a hunter safety course next month...

I think every intelligent father makes their child's first experience with a gun similar to yours - my dad set me up on his .30-06 to a similar effect in my formative days. I think if they get it in their head early the magnitude of the power unleashed with a seemingly simple pull of the trigger, it puts a whole different perspective on things.

My carry concealed permit :rotf:
Still living in the wrong state. lol
If you don't live in Vermont, your right to carry concealed is being violated.
-
At 8 my Father tought me to shoot, with a .22 Winchester Mdl. 67 that my Grandfather had bought new. I still have it. When I was 14 he replaced his 12 Ga Belgian double with a 20 gage Browning superposed lightning. He gave me the Liege 12 Ga., still have that too.
Eight is a good age to start teaching responsibility, and firearms safety and responsibility is a great place to start.

I fired my first gun at the age of SIX!! If I recall, it was a Berrreta 9MM. Of course, I had parental supervision. I now live within 500 yards of where this happened.

Hmm . . . with the proper elevation, you could hit that spot with that 9mm!

I'm all for DUmmies not training their offspring in the violent arts. It makes killing them that much easier.

You need to do it before they breed, not after. :hammer:

Well yeah, ideally. But, it's a bit late in the game for that now.

What about a goose gun, one of those things that uses 4 gauge or 2 gauge?

Yes, one could use those, if one could find ammo for them. I'm referring to commercially available stuff.

As soon as I can my kids going to learn to shoot. Everyone that has a gun should make certain that their children know the rules of safe gun handling nad how to use a gun for any reason, not just self defense. The Government can help you in every emergency no matter what they tell you. You run out of food there is no telling how long it may take to get there and as we have seen in the past The DUmmies would steal it if they can before they learn to hunt or fisg for it.

I would love to own a rifle or gun but SO wont let me. shes afraid shell shoot me if i do anything stupid, lol.
-
When/before my wife and I marreid, I said she had to understand a couple of things, FIRST, I would hunt and own firearms. Second : At some juncture I intended to race auto's and she simple had to accept it, I'd have enough life ins. so she'd have her home free, clear and a couple of years worth of $.
If she could not accept that, well, we'd just not marry. We married, she learned to shoot and enjoyed it, but never tried to race cars. We're still together going on 43 years now......
