Republicans, Now Hear This: It's not your ****ing money!
Advertisements [?]
There is no doubt in my mind that the brain of a republican in not fully developed. One example I can use is when they start clogging up the airwaves with their incessant incoherent babbling about how the taxes that end up in the treasury are actually "our" money.
Hey morans: It ceased being your money when it was taken out of your paycheck, stupid!!!!
That money is not your money anymore. Try asking for it back. Go ask the IRS if you can have it back. I'm willing to bet that someone at the IRS will laugh at you.
So, idiots, that means it is the government's money, to do with as it sees fit. It's always been that way.
This is just exhibit A, in my slam dunk case against the republicans.
Ummm...
Show of hands for all the people who can seem to recall a LOT of Primitives bitching for 8 years about how they didn't want to pay for a war.

3. They didn't seem to mention "hard-working Americans" when
they were spending like drunken sailors for an illegal war and occupation, but now that a Democratic controlled Congress is putting money to work, they're ALL ABOUT the hard-working American all of the sudden.
Like they really give a shit about the middle class and working class.
Yeah, I thought so.
-
it is our money because we have irrefutable proof [Obama Cabinet] that Democrats don't pay taxes
-
So, by this DUmmies reasoning, I can knock his ass over and take all the money out of his wallet, and he can't bitch. It's no longer his money.
-
Its kind of funny that these days instead of saying something is "dumb", "stupid" I say something is so "short bus" I would say "DU" but no-one I know would understand that reference
-

Yep, that's DUmmie logic for ya. The government has taken the money fair-and-square. By "fair-and-square" I mean BY FORCE.
-
They put the DU in dumb.

Bush in charge = leave our frickin wallets alone!
0bama in charge = shut the hell up repubs it's the govt's money now!
Okay, I get it. *eyeroll*

4. ummmmmm joe.....
I hate to say it, but you're wrong! The government is supported in whole with OUR money. Whether you want to call it YOUR money or not, frankly I don't care, but I do call it MY money. It's taken from me at the point of a gun if I don't write a check every April 15. Of course if I was a Senator from South Dakota it might be different. The government does nothing to EARN money, all it can do is exercise it's power to take money via tax code. Maybe a technicality, but one thing for sure, it is OUR money!
Uh oh . . .
-
Uh oh . . .
I hear the sound of chisels on granite working quite rapidly.
-
Well lets see here, if I have no claim to the money after it's taken from me....where the hell do DUmmies get the right to lay claim to all the welfare checks, foodstamps, etc. in the FIRST damn place then ????????
If I have no claim to it, then they have even less claim to it.
-
Uh oh . . .
buh bye jmsMac

The Financial Cost Of This War
Advertisements [?]So far, we will have spent $151 billion through this fiscal year, on the war/occupation in Iraq. That works out to $3,415 for every household in the United States.
According to a report done by the Institute for Policy Studies, a Washington based think tank, the $151 billion was enough to cut world hunger in half, as well as cover HIV/AIDS medicine, childhood immunization and clean water and sanitation needs of all developing countries for more than two years.
Here are some of my own figures:
If we were doing what we should to make our country safer and more secure, the $151 billion we are spending on Iraq would be able to cover :
$18.3 million shortfall in the border patrol budget.
Cuts that total $253 million to the Border and Transportation Directorate, which, among other things, is in charge of coming up with a rail safety plan. Currently, because of a lack of money and a lack of serious concern, there is no plan to better secure our rails from terrorism.
$79 million slashed from the Port Security budget.
$1 billion in funding cuts to law enforcement agencies.
$245 million in cuts to firefighter grants.
$233 million in cuts to the bioterrorism budget
$800 million shortfall to the First Responders budget.
$10 billion in an unfunded mandate for inter-operable communications equipment for police, fire and medical personnel in cities around the country.
$900 million to fund a study assessing water systems vulnerability. That cost does not include what it would cost to actually safeguard our nation's water systems.
$100 million worth of needed smallpox vaccinations.
All this doesn't cover the $29 billion gap in security funding that the states face.
The total cost to better protect our country would be roughly $42.5 billion, for a savings of over 108 billion dollars. The savings in human cost is incalculable.

152. Why should we give our money to organized crime, when we could be
alleviating our national debt, having a saner drug policy, instituting more beneficial social programs and putting far fewer people in prison; people who don't deserve to be?
Plus, as long as it is illegal, we take valuable resources away, so that we end up beefing up an already bloated criminal justice system, raise the crime rate, cause more murder, and strengthen drug cartels around the world.

6. As a layman, this is what I'm wondering. What has me worried is that
a bailout of these institutions by the federal government, using taxpayer money may be at hand.

13. We should not be in the business of propping up flagging corporations
that have been grossly mismanaged. I damned sure don't want my tax dollars going toward greedy mother****ers who screamed for deregulation, until they ****ed their company up so bad that now they want a handout.
But I thought it was the government's money to do with as they pleased. I guess that only applies when your guy is in charge, right?
-
Well I care about the middle class since I'm one of them and there isn't a damn thing in the Obamanomics pork bill that helps my family out(nor do I want it too).
Since when did the non-working at DU give a shit about the 'working class' anyway. Working means just that in all its forms. Sitting at one's monitor munching on a bag of chips hitting refresh to see if either the EXTENDED unemployment, the welfar check, or social security disability hit is not 'working'. This really has nothing at all to do with class anyway and really reflects on how society has graduated(or flunked) to the way of thinking that equality means their results should be equal and not their opportunities. The only thing encouraged and promised was the PURSUIT of happiness, not the actual attainment of it. The founding fathers were smart enough to understand I'm guessing that not all happiness would be the same from person to person and that even some people(like DUmmies) would never be happy anyway so guaranteeing any damn thing would be fruitless to begin with.
There was never any ironclad guarantee that what you view as happiness would be dropped into your lap by the federal government. What you were given was ample freedom to make that happiness a reality in the confines of laws establishing peace and order in the community. Why this is so hard a concept to understand, I will never know. :thatsright:

That's a DUmmie thing. A long time ago, one of the photoshoped a non-liberal protester holding a sign that said "morans" and then posted it like it was real and ever since "moran" is a way of allegedly insulting conservatives.
At least that is the story as I vaguely remember it. I used to think it had something to do with Jim Moran but he is a Democrat.

Well, once the new tax on ammo goes through, 13 bucks should buy me a round of 7.62x54R.
So, at about 4 rounds a month, I'll have a good stockpile in about... 200 years.

Which tax on ammo are you talking about?

The one that I'm sure Obambi and Co. are going to try to push through since the can't ban guns right now with the current makeup of the Supremes.

Until that ammo tax described above goes through, that's four boxes of .30-30 at Wal-Mart every three weeks.
