2. I would think Kelloggs and their line of SNACKS would be grateful to Phelps

I mean, seriously.

But yeah, throw me in the boycott and I will write letters too.

The dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher pops in:

22. Cause it's so important, right?

I can sure think of A LOT of things I am more outraged about.

But maybe that's just me. LOL

Okay so off I trot to the market to buy some Kelloggs products

23. I hope you all have called your senators about the Stimulus Bill too

That's really a bit more important than this Michael Phelps deal.

29. the bigger picture
are you aware of how many lives have been ruined by imprisoning people for pot
, and how many years this has gone on?
It's not this celebrity, but the larger issue being addressed, at least for me.

I sure hope Obama puts an end to Kelloggs imprisoning people.  :o

15. HEY!: I HATE pot and I LOVE cereal !!!!
and even I'm all for this.

I don't like pot. Never have. But it is so stupid for it to be illegal and all of the reason given for it being so are bunk! It is illegal, because you can literally grow it in a flower pot on your window sill. So, the drug companies can't figure out how to profit from it. If they could, it would be legal tomorrow.

Michael Phelps did something extroidinary for this country this summer. He swam his heart out not just for himself or his team, but for his country. And lord only knows, after the last 8 years, the country and the world needed a feel good moment courtesy of the USA.

Our last three Presidents have admitted to smoking marijuana. So, what's the big deal?

I think Michael was stupid, only in that he did this in front of virtual strangers and shouldn't have trusted them.

But the picture is out there. And frankly, if we do boycott Kellogg's and they lose sales over firing Michael Phelps, it could end up being the first, real, concrete step to legalizing it.

So, despite the fact that I like my cereal and cookies....AND I DETEST POT....I will sign up for the boycott and make my calls!

Bloop bloop bloop goes the goldfish brain.  :mental:

wow. Nearly half say they don't buy Kelloggs suff anyway or they don't agree with the boycott and many still think they will be a blip on the sales radar, lol.

Avoiding jail time for weed is about as easy as not getting pregnant or not catching an STD.

Abstinence. Works every time without fail.

The extra amusing part is that I'm "non-religious" for want of a better term.

39. Why? Kellogg's paid for a squeaky clean role model and didn't get it.
I don't care what Phelps does, but if Kellogg's is paying a million bucks for a certain image he's supposed to represent, they ought to get that image. (That said, most of their stuff is crap I wouldn't eat anyway.)

53. I agree.
I'm not a prude when it comes to victimless "crimes" like marijuana use, but they paid him for his clean-cut image and he failed to deliver.

With as many kids' cereals as Kellogg's makes, they didn't really have a choice.

These are the only two DUmmies who get it. It's not a war on marijuana by Kellogg's. If it was a photo of him chugging a bottle of Jack Daniels the results would have been the same.

So, I guess this would mean that Kellogg's would be out a total of $10-15 at the end of the year....

'Course, we could give them some leeway and double those projections.  Kellogg's would be out $20 to $30.

It makes one wonder if they went to the food pantry and Kellogg's cereals were available, would they take it or leave it?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

Only smoking pot would make someone that stupid.  Sheesh!  It's a lost product deal, not a prison sentence, morons.

What's the dump all upset at Kellogg's about. Kellogg's dumped a pot smoker and replaced him with a pole smoker. You'd think the butt rangers at the dump would be ecstatic.
