I would like "to come as close as you can in the political reality to a bipartisan management of the House," said Nancy Pelosi in 2006. "I'm a big believer in bipartisanship on so many issues. You can't address [most issues] and do it in a partisan way. They are too big, they involve too many people, and they involve too much money, private and public money. You've got to do it in a way that has legitimacy."

This morning, a very senior contact within the House GOP informed me that Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Harry Reid (D-NV) met at length last night to put together the House/Senate conference report on the “stimulus†package. Only Democratic conference committee members were informed of the meeting and permitted to attend.
The purpose behind the meeting was apparently to produce a conference report on the over $800 billion borrow-and-spend bill that was entirely free of Republican input, and that could be presented no later than this afternoon in preparation for House and Senate floor action tomorrow.
Ironically, the Democrat-heavy House yesterday voted unanimously in favor of a GOP-sponsored resolution stating that the bill should be made subject to a 48 hour review period by the public before it was finally passed by Congress — something that seems very unlikely to happen, given Democrats’ actions over the last twelve hours.
In a post here on RedState, Congressman Tom Price (R-GA), chairman of the Republican Study Committee, confirmed reports of the Democrats’ midnight meeting. “Negotiations have already begun under the dark of night,†wrote Price this morning. “In closed room somewhere in the Capitol Building last night, Congressional Democrats and Obama administration officials met with no Republicans present.â€/quote]http://www.redstate.com/jeff_emanuel/2009/02/11/democrat-leaders-hold-midnight-meeting-freeze-gop-out-of-stimulus-negotiations/
Bipartisanship is dead. Let the ****ers eat this pork infested pile of shit.

No. But then again unless we find ourselves having woken up to another "Kristalnacht" they can't hold power forever like Rush said. Someday they will be in the same place the Republicans are now and that is when conservatives need to return every little dirty deed back onto the Democrat party and finish this "Bipartisan" bullshit forever.

From your mouth to God's ear..........
However, I find it unlikely to ever happen that way......

I certainly hope that's true. So far with Barry Big Ears in office and his loyal clan of miscreants I am not so certain

...last time I checked the left didn't have a huge political army of pissed off ex-servicemen, armed to the teeth.

This pretty much betrays the nature of the powergrab but that grab does have weak points.
First, it depends upon throwing money into democrat controlled projects with the intent of currying favor with the voters.
Second, it does get under way until 2010/2011.
If the economy rebounds sufficiently before then or if democrat outrages become too great for the public a GOP congress can be voted it to undo this usurpation.

In my opinion, it's not so much that as paying the voters for their support in the past. The only thing that is missing is giving blacks their 40 acres and a mule.

I'm only surprised that the Republicans in the House of Reps/House of Lords didn't see this coming...
After all, the three useful idiots had already done what was required of them by Teh One; no further need of their services was required.

Will never happen! Reps are notorious for giving a shit what dems have to say, but I guess that is their respect for the system we have in place. Anymore, it seems we are unfortunately dealing with people who do not and have no intention of playing fair. IN order for 'us' to make any ground, our guys would have to give up on their own principles and fight these folks dirty too. I don't see that happening since I believe the pubs think they are still dealing with honorable men and women.
