Title: question about the link buttons
Post by: thundley4 on February 11, 2009, 06:39:38 AM
When I first joined here, the buttons for hyperlinks and pictures worked differently. The little pop-up window did not use to have "http" already in the windows, which meant being able to do a straight paste of the copied link. Now you have to clear the "http" or copy the original link differently. It's a minor thing, but sometimes annoying, and I think it may cause broken links when people forget to do it.  :bawl:

I use both IE7 and Firefox and I haven't had to clear the http in order to get a link to form, maybe it depends on the browser.

I just checked my firefox and IE browsers. The http is still there but already highlighted so hitting paste overrides it. I've been using google chrome most of the time, so maybe that's when the problem started.  Oh well, I'll get used to it, I mostly have anyway.

Thanks for the idea about checking the browser itself.

Glad to help, it is so rarely that I know anything about  computers I am pleased when I do. :)
