And chili on spaghetti (It's a Cininnati thing (http://www.skylinechili.com/))
Ways Cincinnati Chili is ordered (http://www.hotsauceblog.com/hotsaucearchives/how-to-make-cincinnati-chili/)
- 3-way: Spaghetti with chili, covered with shredded cheddar cheese
- 4-way: Spaghetti with chili, then cheese, then onions
- 5-way: Spaghetti, beans, chili, cheese & onions
- 6-way: Spaghetti, beans, chili, cheese, onions & sour cream.
**No 2-way chili is served in Cincinnati; the cheese must always go on top.

Oh, yeah. Wendy's has good dipping fries and Frosty's are even better than shakes. (possible exception being a Shamrock Shake once a year. sans fries)
Peanuts and raisins always work but my parents always throw in a handfull of both chocolate and butterscotch chips into that mix. Not bad.

You should post it in the Recipes forum.
Mac 'n' cheese is my favorite comfort food. But I tend not to stray from the original.
Although, I do make one that calls for mushrooms and it is fabulous. So I suppose I really should keep my mouth shut. LOL.
-
I have to find it first...I may look online and see if I can find it again. It really was very very good.

Peanutbutter and dill pickle sandwich.

That doesn't sound too bad. Some diced tomatoes or Rotel and a box of Kraft mac and cheese.

I'd be willing to try it.

Is egg-tuna salad what I think it is? :p
-

Give it a shot. It makes a good amount too. I think I cook it in the next size down from a 13 x 9 pan. Makes lots of lunch and dinner xtras when it's for one or two people. It really was very good with the tomotoes. I'm going to make it soon I think. Adding it to the shopping list. :-)
-
I like PB, banana, & mayo sammiches, along with PB, ham & mayo (or some sort of jam instead of the mayo)
-
That sounds pretty gross

The chocolate covered crackers aren't bad... I've had them before.

Take it easy there, jinx. There is plenty of weird accusations to go around in this bunch. :-)
-
I am NOT weird.
I am merely eccentric.
:cheersmate:

Does anyone else like dipping black licorice in whipped lard?
I'm asking for a friend.

Saffron rice mixed with southern style green beans

"Eccentric" is what weird people who are stuck-up call themselves. :-)

Holy clogged arteries Batman!

My wife likes to eat sour cream and onion potato chips when she has ice cream.

Mmmmm..that sounds good. I love yellow rice and I'd probably mix these two anyway if they were on my plate. yum

No, but lard and 'tard are just one letter away from being the same. Just sayin'. :hyper:  :-)
-
A stack of hot pancakes with chunky peanut butter between each layer covered with an extreme amount of Maple syrup.
Well, the wife said it was wierd?

To this day I still love poor man's Hamburger helper: wide egg noodles, Lawry's brown gravy mix and hamburger. If I was ROLLING in dough, I would add sour cream and -- voila! -- Hamburger Helper stoganoff.
Everyone should go through a starving student phase in their life. Multiple roommates, 5 dollar a case plain-wrap beer, budget meals, cinderblock shelves, 3rd hand couche, etc. Of course, then they should grow out of that as they progress in their career.
That is what makes it great to look BACK on.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled thread. I have no strange combinations and most I have read on here would make me barf for a week.
-
Several of the strange on here, I happen to like....so I guess I'm weirdly eccentric.... :-)
Fried dill pickles in ranch dressing....yummmm.
Buttered Italian bread dipped in ranch or blue cheese dressing.
French fries dipped in mayonnaise.
Super buttered movie popcorn with Junior Mints and a diet Coke.
Grilled cheese and tomato sandwich dipped in Montgomery Inn barbecue sauce.
Egg salad (no pickles or olives in it) with Chiken in a Biscuit crackers.
Steak tartare on lightly toasted French bread.....
Breyer's mint chocolate chip ice cream with butterscotch sauce.
Potato pancakes with ketchup.
M&M's with either cashews or honey roasted peanuts.

Those aren't "weird", Deb. If you like good buttered popcorn from the microwave, find yourself some Jiffy Blast O' Butter. It's pretty close to movie theatre style as I've found.
-
Weird, and one of my favorites thanks to my grandfather:
Kasha with horsemeat, washed down with a cold glass of kvass.
-
I had to look that one up...
Kasha is a porridge commonly eaten in Eastern Europe. In English, kasha generally refers to buckwheat groats, but in Slavic countries, kasha refers to porridge in general, and can be made from any cereal, especially buckwheat, wheat, barley, oats, and rye. It is one of the oldest known dishes in the Slavic cuisines of the Eastern European cuisine, at least a thousand years old.[1][2]
I like porridge, but I can't see eating it with a side of meat.
