Title: Union TSA?
Post by: rich_t on February 05, 2009, 10:21:37 PM
As if the TSA wasn't inefficient enough.  There is a drive by the NTEU to unionize the TSA.

This can NOT be a good thing IMO.

It probably can't make it any worse, I guess.

It sure can.

When was the last time you saw an efficient union shop?

You take an already inefficiencnt government organization... then give them a union????

Trust me...  It can get worse.

When it comes to government and unions it can ALWAYS get worse.

I've been around government alot, including defending its labor cases in court for many years.  There really isn't much difference between union and nonunion government shops in Fed service.  About half the time it's been a positive, the other half a negative.  It pretty much depends on how much of a nut-job either the Federal manager or the union leader is.
