Fla. doctor investigated in badly botched abortion
By CHRISTINE ARMARIO
Associated Press Writer
Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.
Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.
Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.
What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.
Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.
"I don't care what your politics are, what your morals are, this should not be happening in our community," said Tom Pennekamp, a Miami attorney representing Williams in her lawsuit against Renelique (ren-uh-LEEK') and the clinic owners.
The state Board of Medicine is to hear Renelique's case in Tampa on Friday and determine whether to strip his license. The state attorney's homicide division is investigating, though no charges have been filed. Terry Chavez, a spokeswoman with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office, said this week that prosecutors were nearing a decision.
Renelique's attorney, Joseph Harrison, called the allegations at best "misguided and incomplete" in an e-mail to The Associated Press. He didn't provide details.
The case has riled the anti-abortion community, which contends the clinic's actions constitute murder.
"The baby was just treated as a piece of garbage," said Tom Brejcha, president of The Thomas More Society, a law firm that is also representing Williams. "People all over the country are just aghast."
Even those who support abortion rights are concerned about the allegations.
"It really disturbed me," said Joanne Sterner, president of the Broward County chapter of the National Organization for Women, after reviewing the administrative complaint against Renelique. "I know that there are clinics out there like this. And I hope that we can keep (women) from going to these types of clinics." :whatever:

She concluded she didn't have the resources or maturity to raise a child, he said, and went to the Miramar Women's Center on July 17, 2006. Sonograms indicated she was 23 weeks pregnant, according to the Department of Health. She met Renelique at a second clinic two days later.

Williams' lawsuit offers a cruder account: She says Gonzalez knocked the baby off the recliner chair where she had given birth, onto the floor. The baby's umbilical cord was not clamped, allowing her to bleed out. Gonzalez scooped the baby, placenta and afterbirth into a red plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

So let's see here....
Baby was alive when born and could have survived (notice a baby was born not a fetus). Girl takes three days to deliver (live) baby. She didn't feel as if she was mature enough or have the resources to raise a baby (so she kills it).
Blows several liberal talking points out of the water. First babies are in fact babies when they are in the womb. Aborted babies are live babies when they come out breathing. Abortion isn't safe and causes the deaths of women and babies. It takes 3 days to complete a late term abortion which abortion advocates claim is more safe than having a woman deliver a live baby early. Welfare, food stamps, free supplies, free housing, medicaid, free child care.... What other resources do you need to raise a baby!?!?!?

Oh now, you know nothing's going to happen.
Abortion profiteers get a "pass" on rules and regulations and ethics and sanitary conditions that other physicians don't get, because to interfere with killing an infant is to interfere with a woman's "right" to "choose," and as God knows, we can't have anything interfere with that absolute unconditional "right."

Nothing to see here. Move along.

What's disgusting is that it didn't matter that there was no problem with killing the baby before it was born, but all the "outrage" after it was born. What's the difference??? Sick :censored:'s.

I can guess who is going to receive a pardon from 0bama if they are convicted.

Indeed! :censored: Clearly, the "mother" has dollar-signs in her eyes right now. :banghead:

Amazing, isn't it?! She thought nothing of it when she was aborting. Now all of a sudden she needs compensated for her lost child. Color me OUTRAGED!

Just sick and twisted. That baby was murdered...and nothing will be done. What kind of society have we become?

That's right: MURDERED!
What kind of society?
Daily, 3,000-4,000 babies die at the hands of abortionists.
To date, through Roe v. Wade, we've killed approximately, in round numbers, 50,000,000 humans.
That's approximately the total combined military and civilian deaths globally during World War II.
We've become a more efficient killing machine of the most vulnerable humans. Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and monsters such as them would envy us.

Only in the twisted liberal mind of an AP reporter would a live birth be considered a "badly botched abortion." The only thing the woman had done was have her cervix dilated. No actual abortive procedure was started.

Doctor loses license in live birth abortion case
MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- A doctor's license was revoked Friday in the case of a teenager who planned to have an abortion but instead gave birth to a baby she says was killed when clinic staffers put it into a plastic bag and threw it in the trash.
Pierre Jean-Jacques Renelique, right, and his attorney, Joseph Harrison, at the hearing.
The doctor, Pierre Jean-Jacques Renelique, was not present when the baby was born, but the Florida Medical Board upheld Department of Health allegations that he falsified medical records, inappropriately delegated tasks to unlicensed personnel and committed malpractice.
Joseph Harrison, the attorney representing Renelique at the license revocation hearing in Tampa, said Renelique has not decided whether to appeal.
The state attorney's office, meanwhile, said its criminal investigation into the incident is ongoing and no charges have been filed. A fetus born alive cannot be put to death even if its mother intended to have an abortion, police said when the incident occurred in 2006.

I was kinda hoping the doctor would be placed in a plastic bag and thrown away.

What about the ghouls who work with the defrocked MD? Their hands are as dirty and bloody as the doctors.
Bring 'em all up on murder and accessory-to-murder charges, whichever is appropriate.

I concur.

Again, I concur.

Hey, is this the case where they played hide the body for a week?

Miami abortion clinic owner threw live baby away, prosecutors say
MIAMI - An abortion clinic owner is accused of delivering a live baby during a botched procedure and then throwing the infant away.
Belkis Gonzalez, 42, was arrested Tuesday and charged with practicing medicine without a license and tampering with evidence, both felonies, said Ed Griffith, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office. If found guilty, Gonzalez would face at least a year in prison and up to 15 years.
The teenage mother, Sycloria Williams, has filed a lawsuit alleging that Gonzalez knocked the infant off the chair where she had given birth, and then scooped the baby, placenta and afterbirth into a red plastic biohazard bag, and threw it out.
Note there are no charges related to the death of a child. :banghead:
I guess they wouldn't bother since he was going to kill it legally anyway. :maddernhell:
