Post by: Tess on February 05, 2009, 12:52:59 PM

Except...

ALL my music is on my itunes on what is now my husband's computer.

Please, someone tell me I can transfer all that music is a very easy and time-saving way.

I just got ALL my playlists and crap done.  UGH!  If there is one thing to know about me, I am a music junkie.   :whatever:

You can network the computers and then drag and drop the files onto your new laptop. That's the easiest. I have over 100 GB of mp3s on one of my computers.

I'm not savy enough for networking. I just transfer it to CD and the transfer it to the new computer.

If you are going to go that route, get a USB thumbdrive to transfer files between machines.  It's faster than burning them to a CD.

I keep a backup of all multimedia on a 500GB external drive. Makes transfer between computers much easier. It's also a good thing if you have a DRM issue caused by WMP.

Gotta agree here. I just picked up an 8 gig usb for under 20 bucks.
