On American Family Radio, they are currently interviewing E. D. Hill about her new book. During the interview, a caller asked about Child Protective Services. This prompted E. D. to share her story of being investigated by CPS. Once on air, she had talked about her son learning how to lock and unlock the bathroom door and how one time it took her 20 minutes to get him to unlock it. A viewer (one can only guess this viewers' political views, but it's probably a pretty easy guess) called CPS about the incident and E. D. ended up being investigated for two months. They asked her questions like "Why didn't you break down the door?", to which she responded that it would've done more damage to her son than the 20 minutes he was in there. Eventually CPS decided there was nothing to pursue. It's really very sad what lengths people will go to in order to harass the conservatives they hate so much. It's really too bad there are no consequences for people who make these bad faith reports.

I miss seeing E.D. on Fox News. :naughty: But to the story at hand, not knowing precisely where the child was at in the room, breaking open the door could have seriously injured the child. Effn lbitards.

Yeah, I think that was her point. She said the hinges were on the inside. Of course, breaking down the door would've badly scared the kid, too.

Most locks have that little hole in the knob to unlock it from the outside. That being said...
WHAT KIND OF F'ING MORON CALLS CPS FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!??!?!?! WHAT KIND OF CPS EMPLOYEE SPENDS 2 F'ING MONTHS INVESTIGATING SOMETHING LIKE THAT!??!?!! :bird:

The problem is that CPS has been granted far too much power. They can destroy families, all at their whim. Typical Nanny-Statism for y'all.

Some do, some don't.

It's not too difficult to identify the moron caller as a liberal. A conservative would completely understand the situation she faced and wouldn't have called CPS. As for CPS itself, as someone has already pointed out, they have far too much power and I would add that they don't have enough oversight. Two months investigating an innocuous, harmless situation means two months missing a dangerous, harmful one. Possibly more than one. How many kids suffered because some liberal jerk with a severe case of assholery and dumb****itude felt the desire to harass a conservative?

The same employees that will be CONTROLLING your healthcare if the commies in the democrat party get their way.

CPS investigates cases that are not worth it, while there are real child abuse cases that go uninvestigated.

Does anyone in their right mind actually think that someone with Ms. Hill's build and stature be able to kick in a door like she was Bruce Willis? By the time she got the door down the kid would have had another birthday and she would end up probably in a sling for one arm. Someone like her would have to at least have to take a good run at the door if she had the room

BINGO! I couldn't bust a door down if I tried. Maybe I could take one out with an ax, but really...it would probably take me longer then 20 minutes. I have an autistic son...trust me when I say I've sat a couple times on the other side of a locked door, pleading with him to open. :thatsright: The woman was right there trying to get her child out. That's a far cry from her locking the child in a room and going out to party or something. Cripes!

The same kind that investigated Joe the Plumber for opening his mouth.
