The pubs are pretty damned amazing in their strategy to stay relevent.

They have opposed every damned thing the new administration has proposed.

Every

Damned

Thing

So they have assigned one public face to each person or thing they oppose.

Today it is Kit Bond going after Panetta. The same oh-so-reasonable sounding 'concerns' around which they have asked for more information. Right now they want to know who has contributed to the Panetta Institute and how much they gave.

The there is the vague concern that the 'problems' at CIA "go back to the 90s".

These mother****ers are nothing if not disciplined and always on point.

Civics lesson for the sparkling husband primitive:

It is the JOB of the opposition to oppose.

We're just doing our job.

Just like the Democrats, liberals, 0bamaites, and primitives did during the preceding presidential administration, opposing everything that was proposed.

It's the way the system is supposed to work, clown.

1. They're doing squid-ink strategy. Trying to completely cloud everything during Obama's first 100 days so that nothing gets done and his approval ratings go down. That's it--they're not proposing anything, not concerned about the country at all, just trying to tie Dem shoelaces to watch them trip. Gotta love those little ****ers, they're so patriotic.

Just doing our job; remember, for eight years we were told by those on Skins's island that dissent is patriotic, and so we're being patriotic.

4. You're right .......

.... but nobody is calling them out on it. No consequences.

Of course, they own the media, so if we don't call them out they don't get called.

Nice gig they got.

2. It's not hard when our Dem. President insists on them remaining relevant.

Elections should have no consequences, right? We must be the "bigger" party. We must include all ideas, even those proven to be disastrous.

6. So you think the Republicans...would have no face time, would not be holding up conformations, and would not be obstructing if Obama just dissed them? Do we have a King or a 'Democracy'? Oops I forgot. A Democracy requires involvement by it's citizens. I think that means that we actually have to communicate with our representatives. But it's so much more fun to play along with the tv, with the sing-song themes.

9. Neither King, nor Democracy. This is a constitutional republic.

We elect representatives to carry out our will within the framework of our constitution. Elections should have consequences. This election made a huge statement. Change will not come if we move 2 steps back for each step forward.

Right; and it's the will of those of us with Republican representatives that they do exactly what they're doing.

10. and they know what 'your will' is how?

this election may have made a statement, but we need more than a statement.

If 'we' can't get our own representatives, Senators to do the right thing, what good are 'we'?

11. Call your Reps. Be active.

And that's exactly what those of us on this side are doing.

3. If only the dems would learn.

But DU says that democrats shouldn't do lockstep because that is bad.

5. What do you expect from a party that thinks Sarah Palin and "Joe" Werzelbacher represent America?

Sarah & Joe 2012!

I rather like Sarah and Jeb, or Jeb and Sarah, in 2012, but that sounds good too.

7. They've always been successful at making "minority views" seem the majority.

I can't believe that Obama wasn't aware of this. After all, Center for American Progress was in charge of his transition team. It's amazing. Hard to know what to think about the "broken and bankrupt Repugs" somehow managing to throw wrenchs and screwdrivers into Dem Legislation and dance around like happy devils, while they do it. They even managed to get one of their own into Commerce Department ...a person who was on with Larry Kudlow on CNBC today saying in talking with Obama about his nomination for HHS they both agreed that Entitlements are a priority for reform.

One does begin to wonder....

8. If by "damned amazing" . . .

. . . you mean "acting like Bewsh & Cheney are still their daddies in charge, answer to no one but them, acting as if Republicans still run things and not recognizing the authority of our newly and might I add LEGALLY ELECTED president" . . . then yes, they won the Super Bowl of Amazing.

12. I don't know-- I have to say Obama's really impressed me with his ability to play politics. I have to wonder if this whole public struggle for bipartisanship is going to culminate in a bit of political theater. It seems to me that he could neuter these people by letting them spend all their political capital obstructing things, then turn around and appeal to the public.

Oh my.  The poor primitives.

Actually, even though he hides it well, I think Obama is realizing he's waaaaaay over his head. His people can't even properly vet cabinet members, how the hell can they possibly govern?

Has anyone checked the fuhrer's tax background?  I wonder if he has paid "his fair share" after his 2 books describing his brief and useless life.

Message to Husbs.....even your own party knows what a POS bill that is and that support of it is political suicide.
Then again, support for anything you DUmmies want is political suicide for them too.
If you would pay attention to us you would know that by now and wouldn`t be at all surprised.

Suck on it.

Fixed.  You have to get the chain of command right in that household.  First it's Sparkly, then it's the cat, then Stinky the assclown.

"Warden" is a purely-cosmetic title in this case...like referring to the garbagemen as "Sanitary technicians."
