The MSM is reporting that Obama will nominate Sen. Gregg for Commerce
Does this mean
a) They made a deal that the NH Governor won't nominate a Dem (which would be dumb)?
b) That if the NH Governor nominates a Dem, Traitor Joe will officially go red (my guess)?
c) The Republicans don't think this will matter because they believe Coleman will win his lawsuit?

3. I think the theory is easy enough to understand
In theory, you appear bi-partisan while, in practice, making it much easier to get work done in the Senate.
In practice, if he wanted 60 votes so badly, he should have dragged his (admittedly exhausted) butt down to Hotlanta and campaigned like Hell, in person for Jim Martin.

4. I heard it's (a) what a crock...make it 60 and pass everything they can. Since when was the last time the dems had 60...they need to do it but they won't. Which makes me mad. They will put in a Repug till 2010...dumb

5. I heard (A) as well, and if true, we are idiots
I don't wish anything bad on Arlen Specter (for example), but if he can't serve, I expect Rendell to replace him with a Democrat...not to give the job to Lynn Swann as a goodwill gesture.
Gregg shouldn't take the job if he doesn't want a Democratic supermajority. It's that simple.
I'm not familiar with my fellow Nebraskan the Omaha blue dog primitive, but already I can see he's no Omaha Steve. Omaha Steve has some depth to him, some character; one could write an interesting book or make a popular television series based on the life of Omaha Steve.

6. If the governor made a deal for a senate appointment the US attorney for NH will arrest him right?

Sometimes I think if every single one of them got every little thing they wanted they'd simply be enraged about not having anything to be enraged about.
