The driver of a fuel-efficient Toyota Prius repeatedly rammed a pickup during a road-rage attack in Colorado Springs and then shoved the truck's 61-year-old driver when the men pulled over, police said.
Daniel Cox, 30, was jailed on suspicion of felony assault. The charge was upgraded to a felony because people over 60 are considered "at-risk adults" under Colorado law. There were no serious injuries.
Road-rage incidents often lead to tailgating, angry gestures and unanswered challenges, police said. It's rarer for them to end in physical fights - and rarer still that officers are summoned.

The victim, a man who wasn't identified, told police that Cox followed him and intentionally sideswiped his Chevrolet pickup three times before both drivers stopped at Lake Avenue and Venetucci Boulevard, police said.
When the men got out, Cox pushed the victim several times into the doorjamb of his truck, police said. The man complained of back pain. The Prius sustained more damage than the pickup, Cirka said.
"I think the only damage was where the pickup's wheel ran up against the Prius," he said.

I thought the story would be because the other guy was driving a NON fuel-efficient vehicle due to that wording. Apparently the writer just wanted to point out the Prius was fuel efficient. Odd.

Look at the comments at the bottomof the link. The lefties are objecting to the term 'fuel efficient' and, yes, while no doubt the writer has bias, I can't help but think of how SUV owners have endured comments about 'gas guzzling' SUVs hellbent for the destruction of other drivers on the road for the last decade. Can't help but think they aren't enjoying a taste of the bias when it gets pegged on their own enraged little hineys. :lmao:
