Title: More Doctors Smoke Camels Than Any Other Cigarette

In case it's not obvious, I'm meandering through some of my YT favorites just marking time. Lounge is a bit slow for a Saturday night so I'm amusing myself. The video is funny though and only 60 seconds. My how times change.

Gawd, I remember smoking nonfilter Camels.

I went back to Marlboros because I could feel my lungs dying.

Just about 30 years ago, however, I quit altogether. Not a moment too soon.

I'd quit too but I've almost saved enough "Camel bucks" for the iron lung.  :p

I used to carry a pack of unfiltered camels in one pocket for the OPC mooches in my unit.  It didn't take long for them to stop asking to bum a smoke from me.

I'd smoked for about 10 years at that point, but only about 4 years at about a pack a day.

It still took 6 months for the craving to go away, but it did. From what I hear today, they put more non-tobacco stuff in cigarettes than tobacco anymore.

You ain't smokin' tobacco anymore - you're smoking synthetics and chemicals sprayed onto paper.

I used to carry Kools... I guess that makes me more of a prick...

You get a lot to light with a Marlboro,
Filter,
Flavor,
Pack or box.

All my relatives who smoked unfiltered cigarettes (Lucky Strikes;Camels) died with baby-pink lungs.  I know.  I ask after the autopsy.  They all died old, too.

I've had the idea for years that it's the filter that is killing us.

Best Ciggie I ever had was a Camel.....It was Parris Island, January of 1965....5 th week of boot camp without a ciggie.....I was in sick bay with blisters on my feet.... navy corpman says, "You look like you need a smoke."....... He gave me a short unfiltered Camel......I smoked it until there was just a scrap of paper left under my fingernail......I puked my guts out...... :rotf:..... but it was good.
