There's so much projection at this bonfire one's blinded by the lights.

Say what you will about the Repukes but they do know how to act as a opposition party

Every Repuke in the House voted against the Stimulus bill. In debate and on TV news programs they are ever present and getting their message out (no matter how distorted it is). The Dems could have taken lessons in how to act as the minority party by them.

3. The democratic party in opposition to Bush rolled over too many times for my tastes.

12. Exactly. There is a happy medium. One can wage an effective opposition without being dishonest, cowardly Bushies.

4. They're being played for the idiots they are

Watch and see how this comes out, see who gets something done that has a chance of working, and see who ends up looking like oppositional idiots.

Yeah, when it comes to lessons in lockstep, they don't need lessons from us.

11. I am hoping that President Obama can kick some Democrats into acting like Democrats.

I hate when our Democrats role over and play dead.

14. Backbone? Backbone??? What is this backbone of which you speak?

Well, one can think of 11 House Democrats with backbone.

After all, it takes backbone to go against the Powers That Be.

9. It's easy for them to oppose

They don't believe government has an effective role to play.

That's why it was so easy for them to impeach Clinton. They could care less about slowing down the governing process.

10. More like the OBSTRUCTIONISTS PARTY, which is nothing new.

Oh my.

The blue cauliflower primitive forgets how Tipsy O'Neill maliciously obstructed a lot of the good things Ronald Reagan tried getting done, and how the Democrats 2001-2009 maliciously obstructed a lot of the good things George Bush tried getting done.

13. Whatever....whining on national tv as they do..

and having temper-tantrums because they cant get their way now, even though they had 8 years of getting their way, is pathetic.

Repukes are hinderers and dead weight, I am sick of those bastards.

We got our way for 8 years?  What 8 years was that?  Sometime during the 1920s?

16. It's All About The Benjamins...

The House repugnicans are a bunch of dead-enders. Many represent crimson red districts that can afford to play politics rather than work in a truly partisan fashion. Their constituents aren't the people who elect them...those are taken for granted...but for the big money donors who are in short supply in the GOOP these days. For many, the money is all they have...little power to do much else, so when the whip is cracked by the party leadership, it's understood that anyone who doesn't play the game could lose big money. Remember, it was Boner who used to hand out checks from tobacco company lobbyists ON THE HOUSE Floor!!

The jury is out on how united they will be...especially if their popularity remains in the dumpers...a unity that is pushing them further from the mainstream and electability.

What I find interesting is how the Blue Dog group shrunk. My Congresscritter, Melissa Bean, looks like she's breaking free of her leash and voted in favor of the stimulus.

Let's see how strong the resolve is in the Senate. All President Obama needs is a couple to cross over...and his chances are far greater in the Senate. While Boner can play tough guy, Pruneface McConnell already knows he's gonna have a tough time keeping his caucus in lock step.

John Boehner handed out money on the House floor?--how come the left-wing "mainstream" news media never reported on that?

For the same reason you Little Goons are confined to the dark corner of the internet known to the world as "that laughingstock DemocratUnderground.com".  The true "message" is political poison and must be hidden.

Republicans who endorse conservatism have no need to hide and distort.  It's their advantage.  This is why Rush Limbaugh is the most listened to man on radio, and why it is incredibly important to liberals that he be stopped.

Sebass1271, "...... rethugs are against working people."

Democrats are against people ever having to work, ..... period.

Oh, these people with the sucked-out minds.

It's hilarious to see them now talk about bipartisanship, after the Democrats, liberals and leftists have done what they did for the past eight years.

There was bi-partisanship against the Porkulus Bill.

I'm still at a loss as to why the little minds at the DUmp want republican votes....other than control?

As to the senate any senator(ess) that votes with the donks may as well change party affiliation then and there.

The same DUmmies who begged all the Dems to vote as one against any bill Republicans proposed in Congress for (at least) the last 8 years are now upset that the Republicans are voting in unison against Dem bills.

This primitive has the potential to rise to the level of one of the top kooks.

Tell you what KT, when this pork package of the Dems creates uber-inflation in about 2 or 3 years (if not sooner), let's see what you have to say then.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said she didn’t come to Washington to be “bipartisan”, one day after shuttling through an $819 economic stimulus bill without a single Republican vote.
