Barack Obama tells the Middle East: 'Americans are not your enemy'
US President Barack Obama has told the Muslim world that "Americans are not your enemy" and renewed his pledge to travel to make an address in the capital of a major Muslim nation.
In his first interview with Arab television since becoming president, Mr Obama told the al-Arabiya television that his administration would adopt a more comprehensive approach in its relations with the Muslim world.
He also said that Israel and the Palestinians should resume their peace negotiations and he praised Saudi King Abdullah for putting forward an Arab plan for peace in the Middle East
That silly little 9/11 peccadillo was just a small misunderstanding.

GWB freed 50 million muslims from tyranny in iraq and afghanistan, pumped more aid into muslim africa than any administration in history, rushed hundreds of millions of dollars of aid to (largely) muslim indonesia after it was ravaged by a tsunami, and was probably the only reason that the israelis haven't already turned much of iran into a smoking hole in the ground. these are real world, tangible, and potentially history changing accomplishments of the bush administration directly beneficial to muslims.
however, a some electoral fluke says that since he lived in muslim countries when he was 7, and since the man that knocked up his mother before he abandoned her to continue a long line of procreating other soon-to-be-abandoned children of fractured parentage was muslim, that he is somehow more trustworthy than the last administration, or that his election somehow represents some sort of turning point from the global oppression of muslims that was enforced by george bush, is either the most stunningly uninformed idea ever given voice, or the worst sort of distortion ever devised by an evil mind.
