A 14 year old boy was arrested for impersonating a Chicago cop, but only after he had fooled real police officers into letting him ride along with them for hours.

The boy wlked into the Grand Crossing police station in Chicago's 3rd district, located at 7040 South Cottage Grove Ave, at about 1:30 P.M. today.  He was wearing a Chicago police uniform that he somehow acquired, and told the officers that he was from another district but had been detailed to Grand Crossing for the day.  He also had an (empty) holster and a non-functional bullet resistant vest, which was stuffed with newspapers.  The boy then signed out a police radio and ticket book, before going on traffic stops with the officer whom he was teamed with for the day.  Hour later, after his duty time was over, the boy was discovered to be an impostor when he couldn't produce any police credentials.  The boy was then arrested, and is due to appear in juvenile court at 10:00 A.M. on Monday. ...

he wasn't nekkid, he didn't do anything unusual with food, and no body parts were lost . . .  or found, for that matter.  no, florida still reigns supreme is the world of odd crime. :-)
