Obama's taunting of Limpbaugh is brilliant!

He is making Rush the voice of the Republican party. Think about that. El Rushblow now speaks for the opposition. He has stated his desire to see Obama fail. He is a traitor, speaking for the Republicans.
This is delicious.

2. Contessa Brewer asked a republican point-blank this morning if Limbaugh is the new defacto leader of
the GOP.
At that moment, the satellite feed went dead, and the question just sort of lingered out there as a presumption
.
So, your president is in a bitch-fight with an opinionist? Oh, yes, that is brilliant.
BTW, Will would be horrified.

And in the span of one week they've goen from saying that wanting the President to fail is "patriotic" to stating it's treason.
:whatever:
-
Having Rush as the voice of Republicans is a Godsend.
He has a daily audience and can debate circles around the stammering fool in the oval office.
-
Rush is twice as smart as the one. I can't wait for the harry reid moment from obambi.
-
"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration." ---Hillary Clinton

Ya new here, TRG? :-) You know the DUmmies are about as consistent and steadfast in their principles as a weather vane.
-
The average person will not be viewing this as "making Rush the voice of the Republican party," but rather "Exactly how will you saying things about a private citizen who's exercising his First Amendment right to express his opinion suppose to help the economy?"
.
-
To paraphrase Omarosa Obama, "I don't see how this conversation helps my wallet, Barack."
-
Hear Rush's "economic recovery" plan today? Rush's response to Obama's "attack"? Makes Obama look foolish.

The Republicans have no voice now. They're looking for it and a leader.
Limbaugh's a conservative, pretty much always has identified himself that way. But if Obama and the Democrats, liberals and leftists want to consider him the elephants' spokesman, whatever, so be it.
It won't be the first time they've done stupid things.
Meanwhile, it would be useful for the Republican Party, if it is to have any meaning and relevance, to find out who it is, for whom it speaks, why it speaks, about what it speaks and what it needs to do--besides putting steel in its spine and deciding that, yes, it really does have to fight those bullys and facists who now have the power in D.C.

The problem is they like the fascists. When they had the reigns of the government they did not reduce it, reform tax law, or eliminate laws that unnecessarily controlled free speech.
Instead in their last run they played identity politics. A good immigration and temporary worker bill was attainable, they tried to play identity politics with hispanics and whites instead. They took on online gambling, trying to rally Christians and only alienated libertarians and business groups.
They need to stand explicitly for the most freedom, security, and prosperity for the largest amount of people. The Democrats stand for massive intrusive government, most people don't like that.

For the most part I agree but it is not fascism but rather veering onto the liberal bandwagon thinking that it will keep them in power (ie buying votes).

My first thought was what the hell is he doing wasting his time on a radio talk show host when there's work to be done? If he's truly America's savior, the greatest gift to all mankind then the opinion of one person with a small audience in comparison to the world's population shouldn't matter, let alone be central in his thoughts. Why would a savior need to look for someone to blame? It makes him look weak and clueless. He must be very, very afraid of Rush to be so focused on him.
I mean, Rush can say all he wants (for now) but it's not going to be his policies put into play. The ball is in Obama's court now...he said he had the answers, now it's on his shoulders. He can try to tamp down expectations but he made some damn lofty promises. That's what got him elected. The press can pimp for him all they want want, and it will work for a while. But Americans have little tolerance for broken promises, especially when they're of such magnitude, delivered with flowery prose of hope and change.
He can try to get rid of or marginalize Rush all he wants, it's a tactic that's worked for him in the past. When one get's rid of one's opponent you don't need to worry about silly little things like comparing two different solutions and letting the people decide between the two. The problem is, Rush isn't a political opponent. He can't push through policy, he can't sign legislation, he can't appoint judges. The buck stops with Obama and that's where the average American will look. Looks like Obama's chickens are coming home to roost.

You're right, mostly.
"Like the fascists," though? Not sure. My take is that they're scared of them, that they still do not kow that they've been and remain in a streetfight with some thugs and thugettes who will say and do anything to obtain power and enslave the public.
-

If the Republicans had done that over the past few years, and especially during the past election cycle, and also not inflated the government as they did, we might not even be having this conversation.
But the thing they never seem to be able to counter is the great Democrat/liberal/lefist promise of giveaways and getting something for nothing.
And they seem to be almost pathologically incapable of dealing with the lies of their opponents, in substance and in time.

This could be as big a mistake politically as the Bay of Pigs was for Kennedy

What it shows is that barry is just a petty egotist who can't stand people talking about him in a negitive way.
Look at the Press Conference where he got all pissy at being asked questiions. Shocker there.

1. Bam Bam is just like the name I gave him... when he's not on teleprompter, his stuttering sounds like "bam bam"! I imagine his stone age club at his side.
2. Of COURSE he has absolutely no clue on how to handle an economy. So Rush will win that argument.
The REAL story is: are there any Republicans who aren't RINO's left who can make a stink? How do we start identifying the players? Only Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin jump out at me. Good thing they are BOTH governors responsible for budgets, which will give them good insight.
-
Vitter seems to have a clue. I just wish he'd been able to keep it in his pants. Otherwise, there aren't many Republican Senators with any sort of name recognition that are worthy of mention (but I will in gentlemen like Kyl, Coburn, DeMint, Barrasso, Sessions, and Chambliss).
It was said that you never argue with a man who buys ink by the barrel. What would the modern equivalent of such be given the change in nature of communications?

Yes, Mark Sanford right across the Savannah River from me in South Carolina.
NHSparky, I'm not too impressed with Chambliss with his membership into that damn Senatorial Gang and his amnesty chances. He almost lost this last election when it was a 3-way by people who were pissed at him. In the runoff with him and the Dem, he won.

True enough, but his overall ACU rating is still well up there, unlike some Republican Senators I can name (Snowe, Collins, Gregg).
