So fine. Obama did what he said he was going to do, which is the exact same thing as Bush was doing.

1. I hope the actionable intelligence was about Osama. Now that his buddy GW is gone...

...it's time we try to get him.

5. So do I. At least we know Obama won't be starting wars under false pretenses. n/t

Of course not. This time you'll refrain from obfuscation about the pretenses supplied.

6. What do you do when your enemy uses civilians as human shields as a way of warfare?

Let them "get away with it?" Not take any action, and allow your enemy to continue to wreak havoc?

Hostage taking and use of human shields is classic warfare in the Arab and Southwest Asian world. It's not considered evil in any way--it's just the way they "up the ante" and play a game of chicken.

They don't play by our rules. They never will. They aren't signatories to Geneva. They have no nation and no uniform. The most we can do is try to limit civilian casualties, but the nature of their "style" of warfare makes it impossible to prevent them entirely.

These are people who hide in schools and hospitals, and who fire their weaponry from these very sites, so that when a retaliatory strike is made, they can whine and act the wide-eyed innocent, and people who don't get how they play it will paint the retaliators as the bad guys They don't give a shiny shit if "innocent civilians" die--their attitude is that this world, in the grand scheme, sucks, and "Heaven is Better" anyway. They won't be content until we bend to their will. Appeasement is not an option, because they will not be appeased until they rule and we are crushed--and that is a BIG "we" I'm talking about, too--not just Evil Amrika, but Evil Canada, Evil Europe, Evil Australia, and all of Evil South America, too.

The President's actions probably saved a ton of Afghan and American lives downstream, but that aspect is underappreciated because the people he was going after chose to hide behind innocent victims, as they always do. The blood of those victims is on the hands of the people who knowingly and deliberately used them as shields and put them in harm's way. Hopefully, they're dead too--they can have a nice knock-down and drag out fight at the Pearly Gates, and then they can take the elevator down....

Okay. Seriously. Where the hell have you been this last 8 years ? Hiding under a rock ?
.. Or more likely you've been saying the exact opposite thing for the last years.

This is something that really irks me.

How can a person not support something under one administration, that , only weeks later , they're cheering on under a different administration. Saying things that only weeks ago would have been accompanied by the sound of a million alert messages flying into moderators email everywhere.

I don't get it.

Politics.  What they like or don't like...support or don't support depends on the letter beside the politicians name.

If one ever needed proof that the primitives were mindless, thoughtless followers of a cult personality then here it is.

For the record I am very glad that this was done and support the decision to have done it.
I think it was a sign of inexperience and potentially destructive that O openly talked about this policy during the debates and before but still believe it is the correct policy.

They've been hiding under a rock.

It's a primitive thing.

It will be fun observing the DUchebags tying themselves into the most complex of knots defending the one for followong the same trail as Bush.

Yes, for the record, I'm a bit surprised that the One used Hellfires and not Skittles rapidly fired out of his ass on Pakistan.

I've said it many times, I'll say it again:

Had Gore won in 2000, been prez for the last 8 years, and had done and said the exact same things that Bush did and said, they would have sung his praises as if he were a god.  It's never been about what Bush has done per se, it was that it was him in office doing it.

liberals change definitions all the time. Look at their stance on abortion. If the baby is convenient in utero, it's a baby. Make that exact same baby inconvenient? It's a clump of cells--a parasite. Theirs is an interesting reality, but not exactly the correct one.

While I disagree with many of the moonbats like sfexpat, I applaud their consistency. Others are showing themselves to be nothing more than partisan hypocrites. I'd side with the ones who say that collateral damage is NOT a war crime....had they said the same thing while Bush was in office.

They are consistent in their hatred of anything that might benefit the USA from being attacked and of coddeling the enemy, that's for certain.  However, I'm not beyond being convinced they are not taking this position out of consistency in ideology, but because they've backed themselves into a corner were saying otherwise would make them hypocritical.

IOW, like frank reminds us, they lie.

Look for the primitives to jump on the Iraq bandwagon, now that it is Obama's war the cause will be noble and just to them.
