Over 300 teachers stood arm in arm watching the oath of office with tears flowing
we had a district wide inservice today

they streamed the oath of office and we all stood up arm in arm watchign the oath and as we looked around, we all had tears flowing

it was a powerful moving moment

one I will never forget

So glad the taxpayers in your state paid for you watching television when you should have been doing professional development.

Give them their money back.

yeah, the NEA is probably going to be a big winner in all of this;  they were early obamites.  that's bad news for the parents of kids in public schools, which is virtually everyone else, bit I guess the country will have to figure that one all over again.

3. we had a district wide inservice at a convention hall
the speaker stopped at 10:30 and they streamed it ((crappy feed)) but we got to see it if we wanted

no one left for lunch...we all stayed and watched

cheered and clapped and cried

And EVERY single teacher linked arms and cried...

 :jerkit:

She should stick to the made up stories where her husband still wants to knock boots with her at expensive hotels.

Just took a little trip through the DUmp way-way back machine.

Found THIS (http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,20642.msg235192.html#msg235192).  Looks like Proud2BLib is the one you're thinking of, not greenbriar.

I know; they all look the same to me, too.

DId they all start singing Koombaya together and did they see the rainbow shoot across the sky lead by pegasus?  I bet that's when it started raining milk and honey too.

They're school teachers.  It would be "milk and graham crackers" raining out of the sky.

my daughter who is currently getting her worst grade in math said to me on the way home from school, "We watched the inauguration today and it took ALL of math time."

Great so you watch a hollywood production of some snake-oil salesman but you didn't work on your friggin' math facts like your teacher keeps saying she needs to do with the entire class.  My tax dollars hard at work...joy.

I emailed the principal.  She will be getting a call from my husband today.  I am pissed that they took instruction time and completely skipped a subject that has already been admitted to me that is lacking for so many students at this time.  ******* everyday math program.

Okay, I went over the greenbriar primitive's tale with a fine-combed tooth.

It's a stretchy.

It's a pretty good guess that at least half of the teachers there voted for 0bama (this is Kansas, remember; there's still conservative teachers in Kansas).

But it's unlikely more than ten or a dozen of them actually stood arm-in-arm discharging their lachrymoreal glands.

It's a stretchy.

If anyone still had reservations about why we need school choice vouchers...greenbriar's post should remove all doubts.

Not necessarily, after all NCLB is really Vast Teddy's "Legacy" much more than a Bush or Republican program.  I would instead expect to see it pulled into the shop, repainted, a bunch of expensive options added to give NEA a handjob, and then rolled right back out on the street with a different name.

We got an inch of snow yesterday night.  Didn't affect traffic at all because it was pure powder.  Local schools used that as an excuse to close for the day though.   :whatever:

I don't have a problem with students watching the inauguration at school -- I think they should all still be watching the space shuttle launches like we did when we were children.

That said, it should be every inauguration, not just the Messiah's coronation.

We got about 3" yesterday morning. Just enough to ice the bridges good and make a few slick spots of black ice. 17 degress now and the snow is still out there this morning but the roads are fine....except for the few spots that look "wet".

I drove the wifes route to work at 5 am. this morning to check the road. It was fine except 2 small spots. Least little thing and she's afraid to drive.

Sometimes you count the small blessings in life, and having these moonbats away from the students, even for a short while, means the children were that much better off.
