Oh my.
Anybody recall how much of a honeymoon George Bush got in 2001?
Wasn't it like a minus nine months or somesuch?
WASHINGTON: Given the excitement in Washington this week, one would think that with inauguration of Barack Obama — and the departure of George W. Bush — the economy is about to spring back to life, the troops are all on their way home from Iraq, there will be health care coverage for all and, to quote a certain Obama foe turned Obama Secretary of State, "celestial choirs will be singing and everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect."
But as Obama takes the oath of office, there is evidence that, as enthusiastic as the public is about the change in power, there are no expectations of quick fixes. The cascade of grim economic news, combined with the calculatedly sober tone Obama has adopted — most recently in his no-applause-line speech to thousands of supporters at the concert on the Mall on Sunday — has provided something of a cushion for Obama.....
I dunno.
Milk and honey didn't pour down from the skies today, so I'm pissed.
We were promised, and it didn't happen.
I've got no "cushion" for 0bama.

I know I don't live in the US so I don't have a right to demand anything, but I'm a tad disappointed that world peace hasn't broken out yet. :(
-
15 seconds after his first genuine decision, if that ever actually happens. he's then guaranteed to piss off everyone on one side of the dozens of fences that he has been straddling for two years.
-
As long as he is following a liberal agenda it will last for at least 2 years

other than hating george bush, there hasn't been a liberal agenda for at least 8 years. there probably isn't an overarching liberal agenda at all, but rather a arrangement of competing interests that are forced into loose alignment for sheerly practical reasons.
but, yeah. I get your point. whatever happens, the MSM will talk about what a grave crisis that he walked into. personally, I would rather walk into the presidency in a down economy than an up one; you're in a win-win situation.

Well, I'd be overjoyed if the S&P shot right back up to 1400, I'd retire at the end of the year. I just don't believe anythign that good is going to happen. I give it about a month before the moonbats are hatin' on him as bad as they were on Hillary in late October.

Honeymoon? We don't have time for no stinking honeymoon. The Big Zero's 2012 campaign started at noon today.
The only talent Zero has is scripted campaigning. To do anything else will highlight his complete lack of qualifications and superior intelligence.
The next four years will be a Broadway show.

I know they will be pissed off if there is a single soldier left in iraq after breakfast tomorrow. :-)

Have the keys to your new house arrived yet? I'm sure Oooooobama sent a special courier with them.

Yeah, right.
You know, I was really pissed.
I went to the post office in town to pick up the mail, figuring the deed to Pedro Picasso's second home would be there, as promised, but it wasn't.
All that was there was the monthly electric bill and the monthly natural gas bill.
Neither of which were marked PAID.
I'd like to yell at Pedro Picasso about this--remember, 0bama promised to make things equal for everybody, and Pedro Picasso owns two houses and franksolich zero houses--but Pedro Picasso's been absent from Skins's island for a couple of weeks.
Out on a skiing vacation, either Aspen or St. Moritz--but given Pedro Picasso's tastes, and his wife's pocketbook, I'm guessing St. Moritz in Switzerland, after which a few days at Biarritz in France. Or maybe Monte Carlo.

My pony isn't here either.

...and all the rainbows are in San Fransicko.

It has started off with a bang...but it will end with a whimper.

I heard Michael Steele saying he figures "2 years at least", because, his whole "redeemer" persona and gravitas are created from whole cloth by the MSM. They can't let any of his term as Pres. be sullied by a Republican, Congressional backlash in 2010 if their propaganda machine can influence the American citizenry as effectively as it has thus far.
-
Isn't this the reason why he is only recently interjected that "it will take time for the change and the hope and the hope for change" After all it was "we need hope and change and we need it now" Then once December hit it moved to "after I'm in office we must be patient because it will take time for all our hopes to change" or whatever he says over and over and over.
-
It will be less than two years. Two years is an etenity in politics. If the economy does not turn around immediately, the honeymoon will be over. Obam has led them to believe things will change, and they have fooled themselves into thinking that change will great, wonderful, and stupendous for everyone. It won't be. The wheels are coming off the cart already.
-
Just like most modern day marriages....the honeymoon was had long ago....before the wedding....we're already in the cool down period.....headed for a bitter divorce.

I'd rather sneak out the back of the reception with one of the bride's maid's.

Are you kidding me?
Liberal chicks are sluts...and they never keep the baby.

I don't care if you do wear rain gear, you are still likely to catch something.

You could catch something from some of them from across the room. :fuelfire:
