Oh my.
Too bad.
No We Can't: Thousands Shut Out From Inauguration
Frustration Mounts After Many With Tickets Wait Hours, Only To Learn They're Not Allowed In
People came from all over the country to see the inauguration in person. For thousands with tickets in hands, they never thought they wouldn't get to experience the chance of a lifetime.
But things didn't go as planned.
Elbow to elbow, anticipating one of the most exciting days of their lives, they came face-to-face with a fence. It was pure shock for those who had tickets to enter through the purple gates, only to find out they'd be held back blocks from Capitol and the National Mall.
"The whole time we thought, 'We're gonna make it, we're gonna make it!' and the gate's closed," one disappointed visitor told CBS 2.
"We're here for this and we can't see anything so it's frustrating," said Tina Painter, a Brooklyn resident who traveled to Washington for the event.
The closed gates came after some spent hours below ground in the 3rd Street tunnel which runs beneath the mall. Spirits and anticipation were high. Many were singing "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" in unison while they waited.
"It was very nice, I mean we all had fun and sang songs, but now we're back and we're not gonna see the inauguration," said Painter.....
And oh my.
.....One woman from Ohio told us she had called her congressman and was told there was a security breach at that gate and that's why the entrance had been closed. CBS 2 is still trying to confirm that information.

wonder if anyone had blue '=' marks on their faces.

well, this sounds like it was fun.
Ticket-holders, including several Cascade High School students, stood in the same spot for hours without moving a foot. People were packed in so tightly they couldn’t move their arms. Several children and elderly people were caught in the middle of the crowd. Some people called 911, but were apparently told nothing could be done.
Overwhelmed, many tried to leave, but couldn’t get free of the throng.
While thousands of port-a-potties lined the National Mall, there were no toilets in the mob zone. Some people urinated anyway.

“The president should do something to compensate all the purple ticket holders,†she said. “It’s historic, but this put a real damper on it for all of us who came here and failed to get in.â€

what happens when something goes awry with the rock concert? you ask for a refund. :thatsright: someone is totally missing the point.
(and it costs money to stand on the mall on inauguration day?)

Well, I hate to state the obvious, but....
There's a reason they call it the mob zone.
Normal people were at home or at work, being productive. Moonbat liberal weepers have literally nothing else to do with their pathetic lives but go stand and urinate in mob zones. :whatever:

"... there were no toilets in the mob zone. Some people urinated anyway...." told you that would happen.
They've outlawed motorcycles in the city limits of Myrtle Beach, S.C. because of the behavior that goes on during "Black Bike Week" ....the white bikers were bad enough but the black ones ....sheeesh.

Just wait.
All the little splinter groups that gave their support to Obama , did so for a perceived ticket for see their pet cause advanced.
When they realize that their concert has been canceled and there are no refunds, their reactions should be entertaining.

and you've got the whole question as to which is the cause and which is the effect. it probably became a mob zone after the public urination began.
