Oooh! Thanks! I almost forgot. Caught him talking about his father on Greta last night. Kinda made me teary eyed.

Sounds like he's got a cold.

Other than that it's a good speech so far.

Reminding folks that it's been 7 years since an attack on our soil.

Too bad his replacement won't be able to make that same claim. :bird:

He's a good...good man.

Too good for the treatment he got in D.C.

I bet the DUmmies are going nuts right now.

We're making damn sure our son knows the real story. I'm anxiously awaiting his future textbooks.

Talking about "regrets" in some of the decisions he made.

IMHO...if it had been me...I'dhave said..."and given what I know now...I'd have done it the same damn way!"

W looks like he has lost some weight. Maybe it's because the camera is so close in on him.

I'm making sure that my kids know the truth too.

Not gonna let a fellow Texan...and fellow Midlander get smeared if we can help it :D

Well...that's the last time for the next four years we'll hear from our President about what a great country this is and what opportunity it holds for it's citizens.

Just thinking about his replacement could have put him off his diet.

Maybe that explains why I'm down 10 pounds since November.

BOR pointing out that the President's approval rating has jumped 12 points in the last couple of weeks.

Somehow I missed that in the MSM.

Oh....wait...

It is shameful the way he has been treated by the media - He will have his day though. When in a couple of years the time of his Presidency will be remembered as 'the good ole days'

We'll be thinking that.  But the MSM and the Libs will never let that factoid ever hit the airwaves or be seen in print.

I suspect there will be more negative Obama press than he expects. In days gone by, news was 'news' - as journalists were taught they were to report on the 'Four Ws' - Who What Where & When. Now news is mostly heavily colored editorials, created to garnish ratings and revenue. -- Its all based on the toxic Fifth W - 'Why'.

At first it will be all flowers and wonderful, probably for months- but sooner or later, that will fail to pay the bills.

Then once The Mighty Obama slips, there will be a massive ratings grab to be the first to sensationalize "why" he stumbled. Outside of conservative media which will be on Obama like white on rice, the feeding frenzy will start with the late night comedians, and spread from there. Bank on it.

DU is awash with inarticulate rage threads right now... Go figger.

What the hell are they going to do after Friday when they can't blame Bush for every hangnail and pot bust they endure?

He is the ipitome of class and decorum. I am proud I voted for him twice and would have done it without hesitation.  It is the end of an era.  The end of dignity, patriotism and pride of this country coming from the WH.

Hell yeah. Now you're gonna have a treasury secretary who evades his taxes, a sec'y of education who can't f'n speak plain English, an Attorney General who obtains pardons for murdering Puerto Rican terrorists and a crook named Rich, a Sec'y of State who hates the military, a Chief of Staff who's involved in the Blago BS, and a President who comes from one of the most corrupt political machines in this country, if not THE most corrupt.

Thank you, Mr. President.

May God bless you, and your family. And may that same God keep us all for the next four years.
