I've never seen a single episode of 24.
I don't know why; it is the type of show I like. I guess since I missed the 1st season, I kinda felt why bother playing catch up.
I may take a gander at it this year.
On edit: I just set up the DVR to record the series.

Just saw the first two hours. Not to ruin it for the West Coast folks, but it was okay. Not spectacular, but okay.

I've missed a couple seasons, but I might just go to the Family Video in the next few days and get Seasons 2 through 5.
I think the body count is 2, 2 people dead on Almeda's boat and I think that was it in 2 hours tonight.
-
I enjoyed it tonight, felt it was tying in the previous shows and setting the action for future episodes. I'm kind of squeamish, so glad there wasn't such graphic torture on tonight. I didn't have to leave the room once. :-)
Of course that means that most people would have hated 24 tonight. Oh, well, can't please everyone all the time. :-)
-
I was disappointed. No torture. I mean Jack came close
with scarface but no cigar. And beating up the sniper
doesn't count. :-)
-
Tony? Tony? NOT MY TONY!!!!!
He better be working inside. The premise this year is supposed to be a psychological one. So far I am interested to see where this is going. The senate grilling was priceless -- Jack had some good lines. I am looking forward to tonight.
Of course I would watch two hours of Jack Bauer reading the phone book....

HAHAHA. I know what you mean. So close, but not quite there. They didn't even show the engineer getting tortured.

I saw like half an episode once.
Never liked the concept of the show, and grow to dislike it more and more every new season. How many damn times is 1 man going to save the world?

I am with you -- and when does Jack use the can?

Blasphemer!!!! :censored: :-)

As many times as the show gets renewed. It's a television show folks, and a very good one.
-
I'll bust a nut if Mulder and Scully are involved this year. It is the FBI now, after all. :-)

I know what you mean. Tony's my dawg. :(
Glad he's not dead, tho.

Hey -- the X-Files was a Fox show also. Anything can happen.
-
I watched the first 5, mixed 6 and saw the season premiere last night. I can't believe Tony is a bad guy now...
-
Just watched it (DVR, gotta love it!), and I'm intrigued. Seems to me as if Tony may not be a complete dirtbag...it's almost like he's trying to find out what the final plan is, and try to stop it, so he's playing along...he's gotta be undercover or something.
Looks like it might be an OK season, though.

Let me recap the last 5 seasons:
The world is going to be destroyed. Jack shows up. People die. Lots of people die. Jack saves the world.
More people die.
Jack, and whoever he loves suffer. Greatly. They prob'ly die. Jack survives.
the end.

What the hell was Jenine Gerafalo doing on 24? I couldn't get past the fact that it was her, it was really distracting.

Seems she's the FBI's version of Chloe.
But yeah, when seeing her it's kinda hard to get past that :puke: reflex so far.

10 minutes to 24! :-)

As many times as he NEEDS to.
Get a grip man, he's Jack Fricking BAUER.
He's killed more men than smallpox. He was tied up naked one time and managed to smother a gaurd with his foreskin before dislocating every bone in his body and slithering out of the ropes! He eats PLAIN shredded wheat... WITHOUT milk.
-
And Tony isn't a bad guy after all!!! :thatsright: :-)
-
I like that new FBI red haired agent. She's the perfect match for Jack. Loved how she got the bad guy in the hospital bed to talk.
Garafalo is indeed a distraction. She'll never beat Chloe.

For some reason, I thought Garafolo's character would be the leak in the FBI.
With all the stuff the last 4 hours, next week ought to be interesting.
