... WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
EXPECT SNOW TO DEVELOP FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THIS EVENING THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS WITH 6 OR MORE INCHES OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

Oh. Happy. Joy. One wouldn't expect this simply by looking out the window, where it's currently 10 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Guess I'll have to get my happy butt up and run my errands this morning. The younger cat has discovered the joys of plastic, specifically the shower curtain liner in the guest bathroom. Wally World will now get some of my hard-earned dollars.
On the bright side, I've done my taxes for the most part, now I just have to wait for my W-2 for it to be "official", or take a chance and e-file next Friday. I'm pretty sure I've got it correct, though. And while a big chunk of money back would have been nice, I'm just happy I'm not owing anything, nor did I give the government a interest-free loan for a year. Perhaps a beer to celebrate later would be in order.

6 inches? We are getting 10 here.
I am sooooo done with winter. We had two, 2 hour delays, and a snow day last week alone (this is on top of the 3+ weeks off they had for the ice storm).
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! Serenity now!!

Just cause you're in the snow band THIS time...even in my relatively short time here, I have lost track of the number of times I've dug 18 inches out of my driveway and porch while ya'll barely got dusted.
Or do I have to show you the picture again?

Stuck at work today (it's Saturday). I have to re-write a bunch of access control lists to match a new network. Aside from that, I'm answering phones. :bs:

I'm wasting away at my second job. Okay, I'm just sitting here and looking pretty. :-)
It's chilly outside, but that's mostly due to the wind.

What are you wearing?
Gray slacks, white v-neck tshirt, black sweater. And I woke up late, so curly hair.

It's raining again.... :(
Have errands to do, but am doing laundry instead. Not in a rush to go out in the cold and damp.
Been watching the commissioning of the USS George HW Bush on Fox. Was really neat.

What are you wearing?
Ahh yes.
History shows us that this question was sent 3.8 seconds after the very first email which was "Did it work?!?"
Cold as snot here and temps are plunging to the single digits next week. On a plus note the nation's capitol is going to be experiencing hellishly cold temps when the Barry Obama Traveling All Star Show gets sworn in:
The air Friday over a portion of Alaska was colder than the air anywhere else in the northern hemisphere. That is the source region for the air coming into the northern Plains next week.
There are early indications of a reinforcing shot of arctic air settling over the East in the days leading up to Inauguration Day.
:-)
Gotta go to my wifes boss' house for a stuffy not so fun holiday party tonight and paste a grin on my face. I LOATH growed up parties. :(

Grown up parties are the worst. I enjoy the drunken parties my friends have. :-)

I live in Central MA. We are usually always in the snow band. Those who live on the coastline skate free, not us.

Someone else was going to pay him half what he wanted and trade him a bunch of junk for the rest. The seller told the guy I had the cash, and he must have panicked because he came up with the rest of the money. It was sold before I got home from work yesterday.

I got sick at work again. :( I kept running to the breakroom for water and to rest until I was well again, but I finished my shift. With all the wacky weather Savannah has been having (cold one day, warm the next), I guess it has been taking a toll on my allergies.
But I did feel better once I ate a philly cheese-steak sub. :cheersmate:

New picture is a 1971, but probably resembles the 'For Sale' car a little closer.
