MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - One of two Texas men accused of possessing Molotov cocktails during the Republican National Convention has pleaded guilty.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Bradley Neal Crowder, of Austin, pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court in Minneapolis to one count of aiding and abetting possession of an unregistered firearm.

A sentencing date has not been set.

Meanwhile his co-defendant, David Guy McKay of Austin, is scheduled to go on trial on Jan. 26.

Prosecutors allege McKay and Crowder were part of an Austin-based protest group that planned to use incendiary devices to destroy property or injure police during the Republican National Convention.

The convention was at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Sept.1-4.

Jeff DeGree is McKay's attorney. He said he doesn't believe Crowder's plea will affect McKay's case because the evidence against the two men is different.

This idiot Crowder was on my hometown forum.  ARA idiot...Zapatista supporter the whole nine yards.

His buddy that was busted with him told the informant that was working in his little group at the RNC convention that if a cop got hurt with their little explosive devices "It's worth it if an officer gets burned or maimed," the affidavit said.

They're from Austin...what a surprise.

Crowder is originally from Midland.  I'm still trying to contact some friends back there to see if he's related to the Crowders I know.

When he started his whole online forum thing he was still in Midland...went by the name of ThoughtRebel and his avitar was Subcommandante  Marcos.

:whatever:

Aiding and abetting possesion of an illegal firearm?

Whats that gonna be?  6 months?  I'm really suprised the prosecuters couldn't hit him with something harder.

And a felony rap sheet for a weapons charge that will follow the little assclown around for the rest of his life.  In addition to permanantly being on the federal governments "Howya Doon!" list as someone who is a potential domestic terrorist.

Lotta doors just got slammed for moonbat junior with this.

Plus he may get aquainted with a nice burley fellow when he does his time. Karma is a bitch.

I see all the time on footage from Europe and Asia where demonstrators throw Molotovs at the cops, and apparently the cops overseas don't get to counter this BS with deadly force (witness all the rioting in Greece over them actually shooting one of the little buttnuggets for pretty much exactly that, with less-than-zero backing for the Greek cops from their government, in fact they're treating the cops as criminals and the little firebombing asshole as a martyr).  I can't imagine how they wrap their tiny foreign minds around this, if I was running the show, throwing a Molotov during a riot would be all the just cause the police would need to blow your brains out on the spot.

No these were kids for all tense and purposes. The person that turned these two in was in their group...but went to the Feds when he found out that Crowder and McKay were planning something violent.

Good for him.

I agree.  But one of Crowders little poser wannabe e-thug buddies on my hometown forum is going around posing saying stuff like "Snithces get stitches" etc.

The local newspaper that runs the forum in Midland had to turn over everything Crowder posted as ThoughtRebel.

I suggest e-thug Wannabe (known on the board as Crayon) watch what he says.

Is it possible someone you know from Midland might know him?
