Swearing in Time Not So Good for Obama Admin
Advertisements [?]It's unfortunate that the Constitution says Obama has to be sworn in before noon because he will be swearing in under less auspicious aspects.

Astrologers to Obama: Avoid the Void on Inauguration Day!

"...wait until the Moon is in a 'more favorable spot,' out of late degree Scorpio, void-of-course. When the Moon has left its last aspect, and has yet to enter the next sign, it's said to be void-of-course. The Moon is the emotional soul of the chart, and in v/c, could set a vaguely disconnected mood when he takes the oath."

1. I hate this. I wish that we lived in a society where we could...
choose the most auspicious time in which the president is sworn in. I also don't like that Mercury will be retrograde either. (Saturn will be also, but I think that it's retrograde about half the time.)

Thanks, Cher. I love your kitty pic above!

2. I'm glad you posted this, NJCher
 I was wondering about it.

Would it be a bit better if he could swear in after noon? Things can always run late.

His swearing in in Mercury retrograde doesn't have to be a bad thing, does it? It could mean he'll have to do it again in 4 years!

3. possibility of a later swearing in
Would it be a bit better if he could swear in after noon? Things can always run late.

Wouldn't it be great if something happened that will be "unavoidable" and delay it--but I'm sure not counting on it. A few astrologers made mention of the remark Obama apologized to Nancy Reagan about. They think it indicates he doesn't take this very seriously.

And yes, the Constitution does say he has to be sworn in before noon! Odd, coming from some Founding Fathers who appreciated astrology.

So

We may see his critics charging him with not being very "connected" to the people and issues.

Obama is such a ditherer that if he did believe in astrology he probably wouldn't be sworn in until June.

Wouldn't want to swear the retrograde in while the moon and Mercury were also in retrograde........ :whatever:

But he's god on earth.  Can't he just make the sun stand still or something?

4. Maybe they could swear him in earlier?

Maybe we can count the electoral college decision yesterday afternoon as the official beginning of his presidency? Or the speech he gave yesterday morning, when he referred to himself as president rather than president-elect?

Maybe I'm grasping at astrological straws.

Sounds like you need to be grasping for the antipsychotic medication.

This is what you can't help but love about these kooks.  The stars all line up to say that Il Duce won't be "connected to the people and issues," but to them his "critics" will "charge him" in that manner, which is exactly what their stars say he will be.

If this were a Republican, it wouldn't be "his critics charging him with not....," it would be "he is not....."

Inconsistent as can be.

These people are lucky.  Had they spouted this crap when the Constitution was written, they where liable to be burned at the stake.

I think I'm slowly starting to realize that, to understand that.

It's my good nature and conscience standing in my way, my Pollyanna attitude about people, that no humans other than the skumbag primitive and the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher are unredeemable, unsalvageable.

I can't help myself, thinking highly of other people.

It's natural to hope that others are as sensible as oneself, sadly there are those who are determined to prove us wrong.

Time will never run out for that. DUmmies will blame Bush for everything wrong in their little lives for decades to come.   :whatever:

Yeh, well, that kind of wacko crap went out with the Industrial Revolution, moonbat, and even before that it was pretty much on the wane from the time monotheism started seriously taking root.

Doesn't sound good for the Big Zero.  I bet McCainez and Palin are hiding behind a couch waiting to arrest him while he is on his way to be sworn in.

I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever notice how DUmp monkeys can post stuff like that without criticism, but should a conservative profess a belief in Jesus rising from the dead (or even existing for that matter) and the DUmp is all over it like white on rice?

And the same people worrying about this stuff for The Rookie will look at you with a straight face and tell you Nancy Reagan was a lunatic for doing the same thing.
