1. Of course it was clearly marked. Israeli forces bombed it intentionally. nt

If HamASS had not been using school as a site to fire mortars (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2159888/posts), the place would not have been bombed.

2. I'm gonna trust the UN over Israel on this one. Updated at 9:47 AM
Israel's PR campaign is going too far. They have claimed that mortars were fired from the UN building.

Israel would have no reason to attack a school unless it was being used by HamASS or other terrorists.

8. But there are still those apologists out there
That will claim, as I have already been told, that UN schools, hospitals, homes, and even ambulances all were hiding Hamas bombs and rockets. Disgusting.

Uhh, HamASS and other terrorists do tend to use schools, hospitals and home to store munitions or as firing positions. Only cowards hide behind civilians like that.

37. I'm not clear whether we're talking about long range artillery or tanks advancing at point blank...
...it's entirely possible Hamas was using an adjacent area to fire mortars, or that Hamas did this.
"Asked whether Hamas militants were in the area of the Jabalya school at the time of the strike, Ging said it was the scene of clashes "so there's an intense military and militant activity in that area."
Let's wait and see...

It's not impossible that the Israelis screwed the pooch on the targetting intel, they're no more perfect than any other military organization. Shit happens. So what.
As far as 'Civilized' rules go, the IDF is only in the wrong if they blew it up knowing it was a school, and strictly because it was a school.
While our own approach to rules of engagement is smarter than it was in Viet Nam, it still vastly restricts anything that'll do significant collateral damage to protected sites or civilians, far more so than the real law of war actually requires. Our ROE are driven by the Law of Adverse Press Coverage, not the Law of War, and so the Israelis don't suffer from quite as many self-imposed obstacles as we do. The DUmmies however think the rest of the world is the US, and everyone except our enemies should play by the same crippling rules we use. Idiots.

Thing is, they (teh IDF) got FLIR of the retards firing from the schoolyard. Hamas intentionally uses schools, mosques and the UN to hide behind, and within. When the IDF shells them they cry to the MSM.
The IDF is correct in keeping the press out. They would only back Hamas, for one, and be used as cover by hamas for the other.

I heard this morning that two Palestinians had confirmed Israeli reports that Hamas was using the schools as terrorist havens.

As opposed to the Israeli schools with real 10-12 year olds who are in class to learn academic subjects. On their own.
It takes a real "man" to hide behind young girls' skirts.
And God sees all.
