This, from the lose--er, loners' forum on Skins's island.
If one follows the date-stamps of the posts, it sure takes the lonely primitives a long time to find one another.

Wow! a whole group dedicated to loners...
I never would have thought such a "group" existed.
I'm on the back end of my marriage due to my introversion and though I really enjoy (some) people, I prefer my own company more... I've been reading through this whole forum at work since I got here.
Funny how the feeling that I'm not alone in this, makes being alone, feel better...

1. Yeah, it's good to know you're not the only one who just doesn't feel like being around people...
Me? I'm in grad school, I have an apartment on campus w/one roommate, and though we get along just fine, I'm glad to have my own room. I'm pretty much holed up in here most of the day doing homework. I'm ready for winter break, going home and working for the holidays, but at the same time I'm content to be by myself in my little apartment...

2. Yeah, you're not even actually "weird".
It's like being left-handed, there are lots of people like you.
Now if you were a left-handed loner ...

5. Since I didn't even know that made me even more wierd...
I'm good. I've long since come to terms with both.

6. How does it feel...
...to be a "not alone" loner?
My favorite quote on the subject: "I love humanity. It's people I can't stand."

9. Welcome Azimov
I like to think of this group as all of us sitting somewhere like a library, at our own tables. ... and being very quiet of course.
No wonder the lonely primitives are lonely.
They're pretty boring.

I am basically alone in life and yeah there are times that does suck...so it goes.
I also have real life friends that I play golf with and other things too so it is all good.
Feeling sorry for ones self is a natural and satisfying thing...it is also destructive.
Never entertain that impulse for more then a few minutes...it will set deep roots if you do and life will never escape from that weed growing.

Any guesses on how long it'll be before M0rp's "horrible" boss fires him? In this terrible * economy, how can the DUmpMonkeys afford to risk their jobs? :loser:

Doesn't a group for "Loners" seem sort of oxymoronish?

Well, as you know, Skins wants to be "inclusive," including just about every sort of person.
However, he fails to be inclusive, in not having a forum for blind primitives, or a forum for non-English-speaking primitives, or a forum for illiterate primitives.
I suspect my fellow alum's being rather selective about being inclusive.

Beat me to it.
Isn't the whole core of being a "loner" , not being involved in groups.

Some people would classify me as a loner, and that is simply not true. I just haven't found many people I really like. :evillaugh:

That's not a loner, that's the definition of a liberal. They all love "humanity" in the abstract, but could care less about actual people.
