The media keeps talking about how Obama is America's first Black President. In reality, Obama would be the sevent Black President. We already had Black Presidents. The Black Presidents America had are:
Thomas Jefferson
Andrew Jackson
Abraham Lincoln
Warren G. Harding
Calvin Coolidge
Dwight Eisenhower

The last Black President was Dwight “Ike†Eisenhower. Granted, they did not look Black and passed as White, but they are Black. No race in America is pure. Also, we have a Black president on money, Andrew Jackson, which is on the $20 bill. He is often seen as very anti-Indian. Harding and Coolidge ran on the same ticket as Republicans in the 1920 Election. Blacks were even urged to vote for them, which I saw a poster in 1920: The Year of the Six Presidents. Only difference between Obama and those Presidents are, that Obama looks Black, despite the fact that he is biracial. Also, we had an American Indian as President, Herbert Hoover. My Mom's family is Melungeon on her Dad's side. Some of the kids look native American some look black. Only a few turned out with light skin and non-dark brown eyes. Where my husband's family is from in Italy they are mixtures of Middle Eastern, African, Jewish, and a tad bit of European thrown in too. I am probably the only person I know who doesn't look like they are some sort of mixture. I look like a freaking Irish leprechaun.
