Hmmm.

I know the greenbriar primitive didn't make the runners-up, but I don't recall if she made the final cut for the Top 10 DUmmies of 2008 either.

14. Work. I hope we get to deliver the first baby of the year.

That is always fun!

What's up with Ms. Ed the unappellated eohippus?

In case one's forgotten, Ms. Ed is the High Priestess of Moloch to the primitives.

And then shows the silly primitive:

18. My friend's mom delivered the New Year's baby of Kansas..1967

TRIPLETS.. not induced or c-section either..The first one was born at 12:01AM.

He was mortified though.. It was embarrassing enough to have your Mom pregnant when you are a senior in high school, but then to have it plastered on the front page of both papers..and for it to be identical triplets.. he took it pretty hard

No ultrasound then, and the Dr thought she was having twins ..until #3 popped out

Doug's ex-wife can't remember her former husband's name:

15. That sounds like a blast!

We did something like that a couple of times when whatshisname had a show on NYE and we were in another town.

Have a great time and don't forget to tip your waitresses.

Coach, I thought that the greenbriar primitive was trying to dump her hubby.  Now she gives him credit for doing something romantic.  Is she bipolar?

I'm no expert on mental illness, but I suspect the greenbriar primitive's actually tripolar.

As always with her,she has to describe in detail everything to let the other primitives know that it is an expensive evening and therefor she is better then they are.

Believe you nailed it there, Carl.  For a teacher, she isn't too good at spelling the big words she tries to use.

Wanna bet she'll be staying home sitting in a bathrobe with her collection of Coach handbags cursing her drunken husband ?

I like the way she asks very quickly and with as few words as possible about what everyone else is doing for New Year's Eve (like she really cares) and then goes right into her perfect little plans which just so happen to be expensive AND romantic.

I prefer to stay home to get my drink on.  We celebrate every New Year's Eve by doing everything in the nude.  Would that qualify as being romantic?

Exactly, that's also why she posts the same thread multiple times

Frank's was from GD, but she also posted in the Lounge

You know I feel really, really bad for Mr. greenbriar. He seems like the nicest guy, considerate, loving. He gives her wonderful gifts, surprises her with sweet little things like this, takes her on a cruise every year, but none of that is good enough for her. She accuses him of being a drunk and an abuser and a bad father. She stalks pool boys on cruise ships and imagines herself having a grand affair. With all the wonderful things her husband does for her if he's not interested in her hooch maybe she needs to wash a little better down there, wipe from front to back instead of back to front or something.

I see the "I'm so depressed" thread by the greenbriar primitive got locked by the moderator, the excuse being that an internet message board is not a a wise place to seek medical counsel, which of course is true.

I also see that the carpetbagging maternal ancestress, the mother of the Bostonian Drunkard, the "Raven" primitive, was at that bornfire, confessing she once suffered from depression.

She doesn't date the depression, but one suspects it's probably from when the Bostonian Drunkard was an infant (say, circa 1971-1972), and she realized what a foul horrid thing she had given the world, or about twenty years later when her body was changing, and she realized she couldn't atone for the Bostonian Drunkard any more by bearing a second child.

At whatever time she realized she had blown it.

This is perhaps one completley effed up person who is desperate for attention.
More likely given all her rants about her "alcoholic" husband which sound like a way to deflect her own use and those posts she has made about taking large doses of painkillers I would guess a person who is outside of reality by those two.

This is a 8th grade school teacher btw for anyone that doesn`t know.
How scary is that?
