Okay, so it's my weekend at the real estate office and it already sucks.
1. My pay check from working two weeks ago is again not here. Now, it's probably because they have been closed Wed-Fri this week and the lady that does it just forgot to put it out. Nonetheless, it sucks.
2. Apparently they're working special hours today and I didn't need to get here until 9:30 and they're closing at 3:30. I wish someone would have called me, because it probably means I'm not getting a lunch break. Well, I think at 11:30 I'll just say "I'm gonna to get something to eat real quick," because I didn't bring anything with me. Plus, I was going to use the hour break to pick up my Secret Santa gift for tonight.
3. It's raining, a lot.
I hope everyone else's Saturday is going better.

Sorry your day is a suck, Mia. :)
You have to keep thinking of the positive, like, maybe you are the mother to-be of the guy who leads the future revolt against the robots and some tough, handsome dude is going to rescue you from a killer robot who happens to kill the lady who screwed up your paycheck when he attacks you for the first time.
Or maybe someone left pudding cups in the break room fridge.
Personally I think the robot thing is less likely but pudding would rock too!
It's raining a lot here too and it just sunk in that my house apes are off school for another whole week. Yay. By Monday total boredom will have set in and they will start to become... inventive.
I am taking my wife into town today to exchange the Nuvi that I got her at Christmas for one that has less suckage and more actual talking, since I accidentally purchased the "Mute" version. :thatsright:
We have rain and higher temps and flash flood warnings, etc, etc...
-
Well the lack of a pay check clearly set my purchase of Mario Kart back two weeks. But the weekend of Jan 9-10 I'll get two paychecks. :)

Are your bills covered until they sort out this little snafu?
The Army forgot to pay us one pay period and it was a kind of iffy for a couple weeks as I recall.
-
We're getting a little bit of the "climate change" weather today. 59 this morning with rain and tornado watches nearby. I'll take the warmer weather.

Oh yeah, this is just $100/weekend. I mostly use it just for blow off fun money.
The bills are really covered by my real job.

Well then be of good cheer and hope for a robot attack or go look for pudding! :-)

I checked, no pudding. I'll hope for a robot attack now. :)

Bright and sunshine-y here now after very wicked fog this morning. It must have rained sometime during the night as its wet outside.
Supposed to be in the upper 60's....just let the girls out onto the screen porch.
Wicked weather due in later today and a 20+ degree temp drop.
-
Right now, we are having the weirdest weather I've ever seen. The other day the mercury was hoverign around 0, and now... it's 60 degrees outside! In fact, we have a tornado watch right now! (http://www.weather.com/weather/alerts/localalerts/61616?phenomena=TO&significance=A&areaid=ILC143&office=KILX&etn=0962) Never heard of a tornado happening this late in the year.
Anyways, we have to take a couple gifts back, get some bills paid, and then my happy ass has to work this evening. Good thing I got tomorrow off.

An out of season severe weather outbreak produced 19 tornadoes in Illinois. Collectively, 13 people were killed and 259 injured, with property damage between $8-10 million. Tornadoes were reported as far north as Mason and Vermilion counties, but most of the tornadoes were across the southern third of the state. The city of Murphysboro was hardest hit, with 10 people killed and electricity lost for a few days. One of the tornadoes, in Perry County, reached F5 intensity, while F4 strength tornadoes affected the Mt. Vernon and Murphysboro areas."

Okay so far, the good and the bad.
The good: I went to Jason's Deli for lunch. I'm addicted to their broccoli cheese soup.
The bad: My flip flop broke. :(

Holy Hell.
Maybe you should go post somewhere else for awhile before the board explodes. :-)

I'm mostly upset about the flip flop. Where am I going to find a replacement in December? LOL! I do have a backup pair at home I think.

Wow. I guess 50 years later it can happen again. I dunno if you guys had it up in your neck of the woods, thundley, but we had immense fog yesterday afternoon as the temps were rising in the 40s melting the snow and ice on the streets, and it was gone by 11pm. I went out for a smoke break a little after 10 last night and before hand, you couldn't see the businesses behind ours, but around 10 it started lifting as the temps got in the 50s and it was just kind of cool watching the heavy fog dissipate like smoke wafting in the air off the ground. Or maybe I'm just amazed by so little. :-)

Shit !! The tornado warning sirens are going off!!!
-
Okay, I've now purchased new flip flops online. The ones that broke were my Crocs that I love. I have a back up pair at home (I think) that I can wear in the meantime.
So, I got a pair like the ones that broke:

And a new style:

And since these are desperate times, I paid an extra $5 so they'll be here on Wednesday.

Nope, I've had the local doppler up since they started a tornado watch earlier this morning. The worst is past and we just had some wind and brief heavy rain.

I know, but being called a DUer is one of the worst insults possible. :-)

I'll keep that in mind next time I'm pissed off at you. LOL! :-)

Like the flipflops Mia....they look comfy!
It's 64 here right now....the weather guy just said the winds will start later tonight and we will be having storms in the morning....I hate thunderstorms.... :censored:
-
High 60's and windy.
I should probably stop walking around in a rubber coat. GoreTex is nice, but it doesn't breathe worth a damn. I'm soaked. I'd be drier if I let myself get rained on. I did 3.5 miles today and my ankles are killing me from walking on uneven ground and over rocks (not every road in my neighborhood has sidewalks). I need something with some ankle support. I was thinking of some army surplus boots. They always seemed to work in the past and there's a surplus store on the way home from work. Any ideas?
-
Go to Walgreens or CVS (maybe even Walmart) and get those ankle support things....they are like an elastic sleeve. I would use one on one knee when I skied, but I know they have them for ankles too.
Did you go look at puppies today?
-
No, I had to work. I will check them out on Thursday when I have the day off. (They're closed on Sunday)
-
Is it storming yet at your house?
On the 11:00 news they said Jackson was having high winds, thunderstorms and some damage. Hope Lugnut's doing ok.
-
I don't think so. If it is, I won't see it.
I found this site today... :-)
