Dead Santas everywhere we looked .........
..... or at least so it seemed.
Out and about here in Everybody'sTheSameVille.
Those inflatable lawn Santas (and reindeer and sugar plum fairies and nativities and whatever else) seem to be everywhere. At night they just look kinda tacky. But in the daylight?
All we'd need to complete the scene is yellow crime scene tape and some CSI-type making a chalk outline ..........
Kids are not traumatized by this?
after which photograph of a deflated inflatable doll, used by the bug-eyed lying titty primitive
I'll stick with my Snoopy lights strung perfunctorily on the roof of our front porch.
The first to show up's the racist babbling sister primitive, who likes "darky" toys:

1. Yellow crime scene tape...
That would be hysterical! I'd almost buy one, keep it deflated, and do just that. The true meaning of X-mas...

2. Certainly the day after Xmas!
My mother always grumbled there was nothing quite as "over" as Christmas was, usually by 10 AM.
At least those Santas are flat in the front yard. Flat in the road would send little kids into paroxysms of wailing and years of therapy.
Then we have the sparkling husband primitive's boss:

4. Don't get me started on the Snoopy lights!!
It's become a tradition now, but the first year these lights astonished me. Everybody else has those tasteful little white ones, and we have these HUGE multi-colored ones H2S has probably had since the 1970s. (He says, "They still make 'em," as if that were a solid defense.)
I've come to accept the annual humiliation of those lights. In SameVille, we definitely stand out.
(At least we don't have dead Santas lying in our yard!)

9. Pretty much the same ........
..... as last year ..... and the years before ..... except we didn't do the window candle lights. Don't wanna get too fussy and over the top, ya know.
eta: la picture .... plus .... no snow this year
after which photograph of what is, allegedly, the sparkling husband primitive's home
If the sparkling husband primitive uses those Christmas lights that are about twice the size Christmas-tree lights used to be until everything got stupidly miniaturized--those big bulbs specially made for outdoors, hey, one has to hand it to the sparkling husband primitive.
Really.

I notice how they aggressively use "Xmas" for "Christmas," X'ing out Christ.

That might be it, in some cases with the primitives.
Two other possibilities are sheer laziness and sheer illiteracy.
The primitives might be too lazy to spell out the whole word.
Or the primitives might be too illiterate to know how to spell it in the first place.

I read somewhere that using X-mas is similar to Christmas, because the X is symbolizing the Cross of Crucifixion. I don't like it myself and always spell it out my self.

I thought it was because the Greek letter chi is an "x" and the Greek word for Christ is chi and also "X."
I've also heard the "X" is representing a cross, but to me then Tmas would make more sense. Alas, I spell out Christmas anyways.

I'm not sure what disgust me more, the ball-less ones complete ball-lessness or his bitch of a wife's comments.
No wonder the basement crapper is so bitter.

For people who claim to being into "do your own thing" they sure seem to be nosy about what everyone else is doing.

Ask a Scot....he'll tell you the X is a St. Andrew's Cross.
