After the New Year, the shit is really going to hit the fan
There are going to be massive layoffs. We'll see the collapse of many retail companies. The big three will not recover. Related industries will shutter their doors. More and more foreclosures. More and more homeless families.
We're in a holiday bubble at the moment. By the time inauguration day rolls around, we'll be in much more dire straits.

2. Pleasant thoughts for the holidays.
You seem to have no faith in the Obama economic recovery plan?
Apparently not.
It's odd, isn't it?
franksolich has believed, stoutly and firmly, based upon what the 0bamaites and the 0bamaite primitives promised us before the elections, that at 10:00:01 a.m. eastern time, January 20, 2009, there's suddenly going to be peace and joy and goodwill and strawberries and cream and free medical care for all and equality and freedom and free housing for all and justice, in the twinkling of an eye.
The 0bamaites and the 0bamaite primitives promised us.

How quickly their faith fails them.

I may be very afraid for the country, and the world, with the new fuhrer and his reichstag -- but as long as what has happened is fact, I will enjoy throwing as many bricks as possible at them. I will never call him the Devil because he is just a deeply stupid man, the evil comes from his eminence grice handlers.

Obama has a recovery plan?
Cause what I saw looked like the political equivilant of asking people to clap for Tinkerbell.

1. AND IT WILL ALL BE BLAMED ON OBAMA
Fixed.
And to answer your statement; yes. You can't go around for 2 years campaigning that you are the second coming of Christ and then after the election suddenly start telling everyone that you can't really do the things you claimed you could so easily do. Doesn't work like that. Never has and never will.

Works for me.

Funny but when it was decided that McCain would be the republican candidate and one of the two most libera...socialistic politicians of any time would be the donks the market started to crumble. When the most radical and least qualified person to ever run for president was selected to be the democrat candidate the market collapsed.
So YES it is all Obama's fault.
-
Well, at least if he's blamed people will finally figure out he's not the messiah, just some guy who's glib enough to fool most of the people some of the time. I'd rather see his downfall come that way than by a terrorist attack that kills 1000's of American's because he's against "enhanced" interrogation techniques.

I'm going to blame it on Obama, just like they blamed the recession that started under Clinton on Bush.
-
Personally I expect the economy will recover without the magic Obama touch, and surprisingly quickly, i.e. by this time next year we'll probably have started moving in the right direction again....provided Obama doesn't do a bunch of things 'fixing' it that break it worse, like imposing heavy tax burdens to fund his 'recovery' programs.
If such a quick recovery happens, he will probably reap the credit for it, however undeserved, but life isn't fair to Presidents and never has been. Look at Clinton's rep for economic genius, which is based entirely on fortuity and unintended consequences.

And, Frank, I hope you're packing up your boxes. You're getting that free vacation home from that DUmmie. :-)
