On a scale of 0 to 10 what are the chances that the corruption of Illinois’ governor will seriously affect the Obama (mis)administration with 0 being absolutely no impact, 5 being a special prosecutor, 8 being impeachment, 9 being conviction with a less than constitutional punishment and 10 being impeachment, conviction and hello President Biden (or Pelosi or Clinton)?
Right now I would put it at 2 or 3, something that will dog Obama for the next 4 years (or at least until the governor is convicted and in jail), but it likely won’t lead to anything like a special prosecutor (unless Obama’s people are more involved than Obama knows about or is willing to admit).

I put it at a 1.
It will be talked about, but have no actual impact.

That depends on how truthful The Rookies advisors were in their own "investigation".
Highly unlikely they revealed their entire involvement with Blago. Especially in light of all the backpedalling they've been doing about how much they were involved with the Gov.
Right now I'd say 6.
I doubt we'd see a President Biden if it got to that point. Plugs has his own problems with influence peddling in Deleware that because of the media fawning over The Rookie has gone under the radar.
If the truth about all of this is revealed...then we're looking at a Clinton Redux. 4 years of ineffectual leadership because the President is too busy dealing with the scandals he got himself into to get to this position in his life.

Obama himself knows more than he's letting on. But he's surrounded himself with enough Clinton retreads and is being given such a free pass by the MSM that it won't get the full attention it deserves.

Well NObama's still the messiah with the press. Remember when Bush 41 went fishing? Why, you'd have thought he was sidestepping WW3. Now we have an actual problem (which gumment can't solve, but they've got to "Protect our phony balogna jobs, Gentlemen!") and this whirlwind 18-20 hr a day taskmaster campaigner STILL needs to rest up? After a MONTH of almost no business?
Sweet Jesus, if this is as critical as the press gets, NObama will coast! I give THIS problem a 2.

A "1" tops, unless something amazing and new comes out. It starts things out under a wee bit of a cloud, but preposterous as it may seem for those aware of Illinois politics (subspecies Chicago), so far the Chosen One has successfully avoided having anything from an administration notably corrupt even by Illinois standards being tracked to his door.

Nothing will stick to "The One" , as long as the media continues licking his ball sack. Any questions that come up, he just says "His Truth", which is the medias gospel, and the story is dropped.

Yes, today the press breathlessly reporst that NObama states, in essence "I've investigated me, and find I've done NOTHING wrong!". The press finds this SATISFACTORY , just as they did for Pres. Bush....didn't they? :thatsright:

The media is currently too busy fawning over pictures of The Rookie shirtless.

Obama's 5 rules of scandal response (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1208/16836.html) From Politico.
I think they have him down to a T.

It will be a 4 - it will be a clothesline from which the Right can hang other things: basically "he started his administration under a cloud and now look..."
It could go to a 6 if he ends up getting rid of Immanuel (which I give 50/50).

The MSM will give him all kinds of sympathy over the evil republicans trying to destroy his administration.
Mayor Daley was one of his big helpers, which was not a hidden fact. He has been a Chicago Pol for his adult life. This was not a hidden fact. People voted for him knowing he was bent. The MSM supported him knowing he is bent.
You can't get much traction out of the fact that the sun rises in the east. A prominent Democrat is bent and has supporters/assistants with their hands out. In what way is this news?
