I am so freaking psyched right now.
I called my wife at her office just to touch base and she asked me if I was going to be around today because they were delivering something to the house today and someone needed to be here for it. She is planning on leaving work and being here when they call her to give her a delivery window and told me to go forth and errand.
She bought me something that needs to be delivered!! :hyper:
I asked her if it was something I wouldn't know about till Christmas and she laughed and said "Oh HELL no!" :-)
HEEEE!
-
It's that new dryer you've been wanting?
Harsh, Dood.
Most harsh. :-)
-
Very exciting asdf!!!

Well, if'n you're lucky, like me, you've got something beautiful like this on it's way back home.
But since I'm the only one around with one of these, you probably aren't as lucky as me.

On the mend?

On the mend?
Remarkably so. (and I apologize for the thread hijack by the way)
She's well enough that the nurses wheeled her down the hall to give her a shower. Standing up - with the aid of a walker - and cleaning the grime off for the first time in a week (not counting the sponge baths :p )
-
D6 if all men treated as well, fought for, took an interest in, and loved their wives as much as you obviously do yours, marriages would hold together happily for a lifetime. I'm glad to see she is making progress everyday.
(eta the obvious in treatment of husbands as well, but I think someone else covered that in the Dumpster thread earlier today :lmao:)
As for you asdf, now you got the rest of us all excited knowing as you are. You better not ditch this thread for the rest of the day now. :-)
-
Glad to hear she is on the mend, D6!
And asdf, can't wait to see what the wife got ya!

There will be nothing, NOTHING that I or anyone else could get for Christmas this year that is going to match that. :cheersmate:
You are truely blessed this year. :)
-
The above being said, lol, I am STILL on tenterhooks.
I have to pick the Mancub up and take him into Madison for his alergy shot right after school and my wife is on her way home to be here when the delivery guys arrive between now and 5pm. :p And they haven't gotten here yet so I have no idea. :hyper:
I am going to wild guess and say that it might be an Elephant or a Clydesdale. Possibly a cement mixer.
-
Man I am so jealous I have always wanted a cement mixer! :bawl:
-
Defiant Six - I'm glad to hear that you're wife doing okay.
-
Maybe it's one of those Fra-GEE-lay Leg lamps!

Did you make the mistake of singing an extra chorus or six of "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" within earshot of your wife?
-

Ahh I see your wife is tired of the "motion of the ocean excuse"
:fuelfire:

Those sound like good choices. There might be a lot of Clydesdales available for a good home since the eeevil Belgians now own AB in STL. :-)

I want to echo Miss Mia's thoughts. You must have excellent doctors there and a wife with a strong will to get back to her family as soon as possible.
May you have a blessed Christmas.

I already know my Christmas present from my parents. They are treating all of us (kids) to a weekend Bahamas cruise on Royal Carribean :yahoo:
-
But....the most important gift this season was news I received at the end of November. I had been picked by a birthmom to parent her child. After 2 years of paperchasing, the end is somewhat near. :-)

Congrats. Is that like adoption?

Are you going to be a surrogate or are you donated eggs?
Never mind..the idiot is strong with me tonight. :thatsright: sorry! congrats hawkgirl!
-
Ohhhhhh I love adoptions! They make me cry every time! :bawl: Even though my BIL & SIL went through 2 different birthmoms backing out at the last second they were blessed with 3 perfect little angels! Every time I look at them my heart wants to just burst. :bawl:
-
It took me FOREVER to get home with the Mancub from the shot clinic. There was a 3 car accident with a rollover and two other vehicles off the road in the cornfields. Some real industrial strength retard on the road with the ice and the snow.
ANYhoo...
I walked into the house to find THIS:

A 50" Plasma HD.
:yahoo: :II: :bday:
Horry. Clap. :o
Seriously just about the last thing in the world I expected. My wife is SOOOOO getting lucky tonight, lol.
-
See?
That's what I told you that you were getting (after the dryer joke).
Nice score.
Coolest Christmas Gift EVAH!
And you did call it!
I just cannot believe she got this for me.

Yes, it's definetly a leap of faith.... I am going to call her this weekend for the first time. She is due this summer....We have just started the match process....It's an exciting and scary time right now. :-)

LOL!
The girls potty train easier and aren't so lively. The drawback is that when the hormones kick in they become savage forest creatures with mighty powers.
Boys are more energetic. My Mancub doesn't walk across a room... He Swashbuckles! (A lot of diving and rolling, lol.)
It's ALL good! :)

Congrats, very happy for you. My niece and her husband have been going through the adoption route for a little girl from China. It's been 3 or 4 long years. I'm hoping they get good news soon. It's been so long for them.

Very nice. What did you get the wife? I'm sure it's going to be difficult to top that one. :-)

Tell me about it!
I got her a Garmin Nuvi 205, a signed and numbered art print for her office that I got framed: http://freeny.deviantart.com/art/Pneumatic-Anatomica-53318794 and a red swingline stapler for her desk because she loves Office Space so much. Also some ear rings and some odds and ends, scarves/sashes that match her dresses, bath stuff, etc.
Thank Gawd the present giving isn't a competition around here. :p
We watched The Clone Wars on it and played some X-Box.
Papa bear is pleased. :)
-
Now, ya gotta memorize the HD channels. :-)
Congrats on the new TV.
-
Awesome gift asdf!!!
Have to agree with an earlier post of yours though, I think D6 having his wife on the mend is better than anything the rest of us could get this year.
-
NICE present, asdf! Flat-screens rock (but LCD's are better than plasmas :uhsure: ).
I think you did more than a good job on picking out gifts for your wife...Garmins are wonderful presents for us ladies. ;) (I love mine, and will be making use of it tomorrow :) )

Having been on RCCL twice, and dearly wanting to go again, I envy you a lot. Next time, it might be Disney for us, though, with The Heiress now getting around better. She did two short walking runs last night--four and five steps, each time after lifting herself up from the floor. The steps were only about an inch long, but she'll be all over the place by New Year's.

My brother & SIL are huge fans of the Disney Cruises. They love them and so do the boys.

Disney cruises will hopefully be in my future.
This is my first RC cruise,,,,,I've done 4 Carnival cruises,,so will be interesting how they compare. I want to try Celebrity too some day

Congrats Hawkgirl!!!
