There is no such thing as an ugly infant.

I dunno, they all look pretty horrifying until they get toweled off, if you ask me.  THEN they start looking cute.

Hey...that 2nd baby isn't ugly!  She's quite the cutie, IMO!

I have seen two ugly babies in my life.  Both of them were just  :o looking.  Nothing physically wrong with them but wowza were they unfortunate.
My son and daughter were very hard to look at until they were about a month old.  If I can find a small picture to upload I will prove that too. :-)

Guys 90% of them (Including my own) all look like Troll Dolls, Lizards or Winston Churchill for a little while.  :p

After a week or so when the head dents pop out they ALL catch the cute. :-)

dang, mama, I thought my son had a bucket head...yours REALLY does!  (no offenseI hope, I'm sure he grew into it, just like mine!)

I'd share some scarey baby pics, but I don't have a scanner.

He grew into his head but he still hasn't really grown into his ears. :-)

To each his own but I thought they were pretty funny looking when they were born.  That is not saying that I don't think they are the most beautiful kids ever born or that I don't love them with all of my heart.  You should have seen my newborn pictures!  Holy cow I looked like this big cone head with enormous alien eyes. :-)

both of my boys have "My last name" (not posting my real name) ears.  It's a trait that runs in Mr Flame's family...big ears.  But at least my boys' don't protrude out like their Uncles' ears!

And Freedumb, like someone said upthread...all babies are beautiful, but there are times they look like little goobers or mutants.  Its just makes us moms love them all the more.  We can see the beauty in the "ugly" and vice versa!

The only thing in the world uglier than my baby pictures is my childhood and adult pictures.

Mrs. FD definitely looked past physical allure.

I was an ugly newborn too, when my mom showed me the pic I could not see the resemblance at all... :-)
I got cute after about a month though, as evidenced from my other baby pics..lol

I was looking at it and thinking the baby was thinking "let me get a crap outta the way & I'll be right with you OK". babies are on the job 24/7.  :-)

This thread reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Jerry and the gang visit some friends who just had a baby. Every time they looked at him in the crib, they all recoiled in horror. It's quite funny.

My mom always told me I was the cutest damn thing when I was born,as long as my eyes were shut. I was so severely cross eyed it hurt to look at me .

I was also 1 of the 2 out of 8 born with a full head of hair and brown eyes.
